NEW: matt sokol - summertime is here (electronic / braindance)
Here is the second single from my upcoming EP, bloomer. This song was written in the summer, about the summer. It's October now, but it's still 80+ degrees here, so my mood is still A+ for this song to drop.
It's a big hi-fidelity beat with some lush-as-fuck melody + chords going on... IDK how to really describe it, I love how it's simultaneously silly and beautiful, it stays right on the line between the two.
Hope you enjoy this new one... the bloomer EP comes out in less than one week, on October 19th. :-)

going deeper into Logic Pro X's built in drum machines. just looking at all the preset kits shows me I've barely scratched the surface. got pretty aggro with this beat.
I'm starting to understand why aphex/squarepusher/etc are so obsessed with gear. there's so much depth to just this one machine, I can't imagine how it feels to have several of them.
an original track for steemit open mic 36. My audio interface broke during this one - luckily I got the drums through the real microphones. Guitar audio is iPhone audio - and it's amazing that it still sounds pretty damn good.
technology is nice. thanks steve jobs & pals.
