I get the strangest looks when I make these stop-motion animated videos. The sound fx aren’t perfect because these short quickies are really only practice or kinda like little thumbnail or sketches of animation that I mainly edit on my phone. Amazing that you can actually do this kind of thing on a phone.
I hope you enjoyed my weirdo stop motion animation. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thank you for your eyeballs. Duane :)

I've now stooped to the lowest of the lows in my practical special effects. An old blanket for an alien landscape, underarm deodorant container for my Bounty Hunter's spaceship and a paper-mache planet.
Thanks for your eyeballs, Duane :D

A super old stop-motion quick test animation I made 10 years of me ripping around my messy studio.
Thanks for watching my short video and hope you enjoy, Duane :D

A quick test animation in a retro vintage cartoon style based on a vintage 80s video game I use to play.
I'd love to hear your thoughts. On this little animation test. Thank you for your eyeball. Duane :)

I have this box of 70s 8-Track cassettes tapes I inherited many years back that I held on to with the notion that one day I would use to repurpose them for some video project. Actually at the very end of this short video is a small clip of me trying to bust the cassettes apart.
This is the first of 3 Landspeeders I made. The main body is a Joni Mitchell 8-Track the album "Court and Spark. Originally I had the idea of whatever the musician and the album title that would influence the hovercraft's aesthetic. So I kept the original colour scheme of the "Court and Spark" album and gave the Hovercraft the nick name "SPARK"
Thanks for watching my short video and hope you enjoy!

This is a silly stop-motion pixilation I shot last summer of me fake skating. I didn't have the extra cash to by a new deck so you gotta do what you gotta do.

Some kinda bounty hunter’s starcraft departure on some treacherous pursuit
I couldn't wait till my Old Spice pit-stick was empty so I could make this fun little low budget spacecraft. I believe when I got down to the last centimeter I over-used it covering most of my stinky bachelor bod to expedite my crafty project.
Thank you for your eyeballs, Duane :D

Made this deadly looking Cybernetic Lifeform Model from a variety of repurposed junk from recycling bin treasures. I'm really stoked on this one. I crafted it so that the head can turn a full 360 degrees and both arms are jointed so I can create stop-motion animation for some future Cyberpunk space adventures when I build enough props and models.
Thanks for your eyeballs, Duane :D

“They once called us ‘synthetic organisms’, but there’s nothing artificial about who and what we are. I prefer the term ‘cybernetic lifeform’. I am a person. I have life. And now, if you don’t mind, I am going to end yours”. Cygnus AB789-J “Abby”
Original Designation: Belker Fakt CYGN-4
Nickname: Cygnus
Classification/s: Autonomous Armoured Synthetic Organism (AASO), Self-Propelled Hover Combat Robovehicle (SPHR)
Military Application/s: Stellar Combat Breeching Unit, Siege Bypass Weapon, Battlefield Annihilator, Armoured Offense/Defence, Tactical Superiority and Dominance Unit
Armaments: Varies. Originally armed with Tact-7 Driller, Eon Spice Mk.IV Plasma Cutter, Elon Forne MM62 Grav-Cannon, 72mm Rapid Fire Assault PIF
Height: 4m
Width: 2.5m
Weight: 1100 kg (avg)
Max. Speed: 425 kph, self-propelled
Designed originally as a breeching and siege unit for a wide array of warfare, the Cygnus was one of the first of the “Robot Kind” that achieved full self-awareness and the ability to replicate itself using parts from itself and other Cygnus units. Encountering one in the wild nowadays is considered very dangerous to any human involved. Rumours still persist that the reason the Cygnus gained sentience was because they originally had organic components used for its nervo-mechanics and bio-wiring fused with its cognitive circuitry. The true horror, if these rumours are true, is that whenever the Cygnus “reproduces”, it needs human bio-matter in order to complete its reproduction process.
Friday nights I play dress up and wear a soccer ball on my head!
Test Rotoscoping Animation 15 sec. Second attempt at rotoscoping and I'm pretty pleased. It's a very choppy animation but that's kind of what I was going for. I was going for that 60's style of animation like Ralph Bakshi style Spider Man and Rocket Robinhood.
Rotoscoping is an animation technique that animators use to trace over motion picture footage, frame by frame, to produce realistic action.
