Living conditions here on Earth are getting more and more cramped with each passing decade. Our spaces to live in grow smaller, and the many are now living in areas designed just a few. No longer can we expect that the once inexhaustible resources of the past will be able to meet the needs of this ever growing mass of humanity. It's Overpopulation! Humans breeding out of control. Dwindling food supplies. Suspiciously delicious snack foods! We explore these topics and more in this episode. We ask, and attempt to answer, some of the daunting questions that mankind must face in the near future. Where will we live? What will we eat? Does my apartment come "furnished" for that price?
Hosted by James, Derek, Ted and later Adam, Destructomundo ran for 32 episodes between 2005 and 2008. They discussed a variety of end of the world topics ranging from the traditional like nuclear war, the zombie apocalypse, and alien invasion to some more obscure ways civilization might end like supernatural evil, super villains, and the Antichrist.
Destructomundo Podcast - Episode 02 - Rise of Robots
Google becomes self aware, and all our appliances are out to get us. It's the rise of the machines! Not just the Ahnold type, either. We're talking full blown war with the metallic supermachines. No one is safe from the automatons. Load up on refrigerator magnets, and squirtguns, as we discuss how it might go down, and how to stop the mechanical horde. We love robots though, so hug a robot today!

''On The 8th Day'' is chilling, a result entirely consistent with its aim. The one-hour documentary explores the possible ecological and atmospheric consequences of nuclear war, particularly as they would be expressed in a ''nuclear winter.'' Darkness would shroud the Northern Hemisphere; temperatures would fall. The planet would survive, but not as a hospitable place.
''On the Eighth Day'' was originally produced for the BBC as part of the series The Natural World, and aired in the United States on cable station TBS on January 14, 1985.

Destructomundo Podcast - Episode 11 - The Fourth Reich part 2
Nazis! WWII's losers are back for another go. We go in search of secret Antarctic bases, hollow earth forces, The Boys From Brazil, Hitler's Brain, and more with our special guest host Adam. We discuss the history, and the myths behind the Nazi mystique, and who or what might be involved in modern Nazi efforts to finally achieve world domination. It's one of our favorite subjects, and we made it a two parter. Our first international email is answered, and we talk about what's in store for Destructomundo. Give it up for the best villians ever! w00t!

Ark II is an American live-action science fiction series, aimed at children, that aired on CBS, beginning and ending in 1976, as part of its Saturday morning line-up. Only 15 half-hour episodes of Ark II were ever produced; however, these episodes were re-run by the CBS television network for several years.
The show's setting was in a post-apocalyptic 25th Century, after Earth's civilizations had been decimated by the effects of waste, pollution, and warfare, falling back to a level comparable to the Dark Ages. The surviving scientists pooled their knowledge and resources, training three young people (and the chimp, who was capable of speech) to search for remnants of humanity, reintroducing lost ideas as they traveled the barren landscape in the high-tech Ark II.
The complete series was once available on DVD, but is now apparently out of print.

"The Power of Decision" may be the first (and perhaps the only) U.S. government film depicting the Cold War nightmare of a U.S.-Soviet nuclear conflict. The U.S. Air Force produced it during 1956-1957 at the request of the Strategic Air Command. Unseen for years and made public for the first time by the National Security Archive, the film depicts the U.S. Air Force's implementation of war plan "Quick Strike" in response to a Soviet surprise attack against the United States and European and East Asian allies. By the end of the film, after the Air Force launches a massive bomber-missile "double-punch," millions of Americans, Russians, Europeans, and Japanese are dead.
