Unity based project
The purpose was to implement our client's AR interaction technique "Smooth moves" in virtual reality. We used Unity 3D for this. This video presents the interaction and features requested by the client.
Smooth moves is an interaction method that doesn't use a controler. User simply has to imitate the movement of an orb floating around and object he means to interact with, then once it turns blue he needs to stop to confirm the selection. We also experimented with swiping and other confirmation methods but client preferred "stop-to-select".
Phase shift enables multiple orbs to be in similar phase, or have similar movement, because if correlation is detected on multiple orbs, their phases will shift to ensure you get to select what you want.
Fisheye is just preventing the clustering of the orbs, the orbs will appear as they're near your centre of vision and disappear when you don't look in their direction.
