Last year I "covered" the electric car section while figuring out where I need to improve and also to do my bit producing user-generated content to promote electric cars further. With enough interest and support from the market, there will eventually be enough second-hand electric cars that I could afford, so pretty much fingers crossed.
This year apart from the BMW i3 and i8 few other vehicles were present. Kia brought their plug-in Hybrid, I was promised that soon enough we will have the fully electric version in Ireland as well. VW brought their E-Golf, and Toyota brought their updated Leaf. Renault had same vehicles as last year with Zoe, Twizzy (I like that car) and their maybe not new but pretty much down to earth Electric Kangoo. But I could give awards for the car that impress me the most it would be MINI electric crossover. Very much up my level of obsessive attention to the detail. Kia wins award for the most friendly staff, they squeezed me in for a test drive even it was way past what organisers would allow.
As above mentioned cars were already "covered" in the last year's video, and by using inverted commas I emphasize how unprofessional I am with my journalistic skills, I decided to concentrate on cars I seen for a very first time. Believe it or not, quality is slowly improving, and hopefully, I will be at the stage where dealerships would trust me to take one of each for a few days to create proper videos. But not yet I guess and will still have to continue learning using right and tested Enterprise Rent a Car. Maybe will do a video about electric Go Car in Dublin, but let's leave that until the next time.
