Love this stretch of the A446 Lichfield Road between Stonebridge & Wishaw, when the traffic is reasonable. Good road surface, plenty of sweeping roundabouts and gentle hills
My old (2007) PayPal dongle started to show a Low Battery warning, so I decided to have a go at changing the battery. Went OK except that I seem to have reset it so that it no longer displays authentication codes and is now useless. Maybe a faster battery swap would have worked(?)
Could have been much worse but thankfully no serious damage done. Looking on-line it seems that failures of the 'glue' on the Citroen C1, Peugeot 107, 108 & Toyota Aygo cars is a known problem. If you own one of these cars, I'd suggest getting it checked before being faced with an expensive replacement or, worse still, injuring someone.
The drip tray of our Gaggia Brera began to fill up and it became apparent that the water tank was leaking. Quite an easy and cheap fix as it turned out.
This Brera is the 2014 and later, v2 model.
Refresh of the cooling system plumbing on my Daimler SP250 (Dart). Reintroduced the heated manifold into the circuit and eliminated many of the joints in the orginal arrangement.
My B50 turns out to have an oversize barrel and piston. Does anyone recognise this modification? Where did the piston come from & is this 'up-sizing' a recognised mod? Any help / advice would be appreciated. UPDATE: Based on advice from the B50 Forum (www.b50.org), the engine has had a 580cc Big Bore Kit fitted. Developed by BSA USA it uses a "Jahns" piston & LA Liners liner :)
Decided to have a go with some exhaust wrap. Never tried it before.
Supposedly improves volumetric efficiency by keeping the exhaust gas hotter and hence lower density. I'm sceptical that I'll see any benefit whatsoever but fancy having a go anyway :)
