Alternative video name - "Music Composition #0 - The Overview of Rule-Based Music".
You should watch this video before any next video in the series with title "rule-based music" in it.
The title of this video is an understatement. The stuff i will talk about in music composition series is something almost noone knows about, so it couldn't even reach the stage of making it a secret. I will talk about this weird phenomena in Music Philosophy #2 , a content series in far future.
This video and all the videos in Music Composition series is targeting EVERY music artist regardless of who you are and what kind of music you make. Help to spread these videos by liking and sharing them so it gets to as many music artists as possible. It's a free information and it's accessible to everyone (yes, free stuff with closed-circle membership exists).
This topic is NOT about mathematically-derived / algorithmically-generated music by AI or a computer in general. It's about rules for music that are manually created by human.

Music Composition is a comprehensive series of videos where i explain how specifically can you compose music. Most of the techniques are rule-based, although in some videos i depart from them and talk about composition in general.
In this episode i am going over my music that is inspired by Arvo Pärt - Cantus in memory of Benjamin Britten. This is a mirrored analysis where i explain and compare everything both me and Arvo Pärt did with our music as the techniques and rules are closely related. The music itself is 100% patterned, something that is the easiest to compose in rule-based music (but not easy in general). Early episodes of this series will be about getting familiar with the simplest rules you can design.
