You can use Excel or your favorite spreadsheet software to quickly enter transactions or checks. So the idea is: you use your spreadsheet application to quickly enter data or you have that data already as CSV. Instead of using Quicken as data entry point, you use Excel or your favorite spreadsheet application as data entry point. And we can name it as 'Checks'.
What is important: that first line should have the column names, so the converter configure out what is going on, how is your file organized. So we can have: Date, Amount, Payee, Memo, Check number columns.
Check number column supposed 'Print' value for all transactions. The first capital 'P' must be at the word 'Print', and the rest should be lowercase letters.

Start QIF2QBO and locate your QIF file. We will use a sample QIF file for this demonstration.
Once the QIF file is loaded, review transactions, check the Dates are correct, Amounts are correct, Payee, Memo, Check number. Before converting to QBO file review the Output settings.
Set INTU.BID to match your bank label. Make sure, that the bank label you have chosen allows the Account Type, you are converting for. Some banks allow all Account Types, some allow Bank accounts, some allow only Credit Cards. If your bank is not listed or not allowed, you can keep default value '3000', which allows all Account Types and this bank label is for "Wells Fargo".
Before converting to QBO file, check the Account Type. Set the Account ID if you convert for multiple accounts. Make sure to use different Account ID for different accounts. You can change the Currency. For QuickBooks, it has to be US Dollars. And if your accounting software imports QBO files and allow different currency, you can set it here. You can set End balance, you can set Bank ID, you can set Branch ID, you can live all this empty for QuickBooks.

In this example, we will use a sample.pdf file from the Royal Bank of Canada. It has some details about the Account and the most important part is transactions. There are Date, Description, Withdrawals, Deposits for each transaction.
We will use PDF2QBO to parse this PDF file. And PDF2QBO loads the PDF file, parses and shows the Date, Amount of transactions, Deposit, Withdrawal, transactions Memo and Cheque # from Memo, if available. Click the 'Convert' to create a QBO file.
Then switch to Quickbooks and click 'File' - 'Utilities' - 'Import' - 'Web Connect Files', select saved QBO file and click 'Open'.
