Mince and onion is a very popular meat pie filling in the UK, made even more popular by the Greggs chain of high street bakery cafes. In this recipe I use store bought pre-made puff pastry for ease and convenience. Once prepared, these pies can be frozen and then baked from frozen at 180C/350F for around 45 minutes, but keep an eye on them. Oven baked cheesy stuffed mushrooms are great as a starter or as a side dish for many meals. They are so simple to prepare and they bake in 15-20 minutes. You can also microwave them for one and a half minutes at full power, but the texture is not quite as good as when they are oven baked.
