This title is blatant clickbait. Luke seems like a good guy, and if you're watching this channel, you probably already know about his. If for some reason, you don't check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2eYFnH61tmytImy1mTYvhA

I thought I'd do a couple of videos where I show things that I'm interested in that are not directly related to IT careers, but are technology related and may have indirect benefits. This first one is on LBRY.IO a distributed, peer to peer, video streaming service which uses blockchain. Pretty interesting.
I'm now mirroring my videos on lbry:

In this video I demo how to do an upgrade on a netapp simulator. This is a great way to do a dry run of a netapp upgrade prior to doing it in production, or just get comfortable with it. It's also a good way to take an existing simulator, and maintain your current configuration, but also keep it up-to-date.

In this video I talk about DNS over HTTPS/TLS and how I don't quite get the benefits of using it, and how it seems like the trade-off of centralizing things makes things worse.

I'm looking for suggestions for open source applications that can wow people new to open source. No particular area or subject, but just things that will help get people interested in open source and linux.

I put together a tiny (and I mean tiny) little front-end for the freebsd pkg command which allows you to quickly search for and install a package by name or description. It uses the dmenu command, and I think it follows the unix philosophy of doing one single thing, and (debatably) doing it well.
