Welcome back Campers! Today's adventure started on a sunny Saturday 9th October at Meldon Reservoir car park, from where we walked over South Downs and on to Sourton Tors. While I did consider stopping here since I arrived at Dartmoor much later than I'd intended I decided that we had enough time to walk on to our intended destination. So onwards we traveled, down from Sourton Tors until we found the old army track which we followed to Great Links Tor. I forgot to follow the map, so Dave and I ended up trudging through some very wet almost boggy ground but luckily my feet stayed dry and Dave really enjoyed darting through the longs grass. Upon arrival at Great Links Tor I was a little disappointed to see that somebody else had already pitched in the best spot. so after tapping the trig point we moved a couple hundred yards west toward another large granite outcrop (no name on the map) where I was pleasantly surprised to bump into Dean and Stuy from Life on the Rocks! Due to being a bit late arriving on Dartmoor I had not talked on camera, so in the morning I didn't really stop yapping! (oh...and it was my birthday) After a brief chat with Dean and Stuy in the morning, my camera fell over in the wind and stopped working for a short while! I packed up our gear and went to start on taking down the tent but was stopped by a big brown spider! ew After an epic battle with the 8 legged freak and I packed up and headed home through the clag. This was a very enjoyable camp, we had a great walk. I learned a couple things about my new Lanshan 2 Pro (and made a couple mods which I'll discuss in a future video, got to enjoy the company of other wild campers and woke up in a tent on my birthday!
