MANIPULATION Of The Appeal Towards Entrepreneurship
I wanted to share a couple examples of experiences I've had with people who try to take advantage of ambitious entrepreneurs. While this does happen mind you, doing free work is a staple to building your business starting out and getting recommendations.
Someone contacted me wanting me to work with them. I wanted to share my experience around this to let you know why you shouldn’t do this and why I think this is a very sketchy business practice that many will far for. People who are really concerned about mentoring others, want your money. This agency boasts working with every top brand in the world, yet their website is on Wix has awful SEO, they have no social channels, proof of anything, or any employees when they claim to have 40+. Upon inquiring about any information instead they say no you must come to meet with us in person, we want to show you. All of this should be publicly available for their own good, but it’s not simply because it’s not true. When I repeatedly push for this information, they just start calling me trying to get me on the phone so they can convince me to just not worry about it. Funnily enough I recognized this, not only because it’s super sketchy but because I’ve had this happen before with an SEO company that was so bad I contacted them to help them with their SEO and thus they offered me an unpaid internship when I simply needed money and had no job while in debt in university. They boasted how they would pay me handsomely after I graduate, but that was just too sketchy.
You see…, when someone tries hard to get you to work for free for them, I would say they aren’t doing too well. Now when you want to work for them for free, it’s obviously because you think it’s worth doing and I think if you need convincing it’s rarely worth it. Keep in mind I have done so much free work, capitalists would be shaking. The point here is that there will be a lot of people taking advantage of the influx of entrepreneurs and the newfound appeal to the space. Instead, you should reach out to companies you want to work with, and hey I can’t say anyone asking you to work for them has bad intent so why not try some out, but most of the time it’s not for your benefit. Navigate wisely on your journey, but always learn from mistakes. Lack of transparency is the biggest giveaway. If you were interested in a company and wanted to learn more about it on your own, they would be thrilled, not concerned.

### Crypto Stock Investing
o Investing in a crypto ETF or trust gives you direct exposure to crypto, but can be done within a retirement account or a tax-free savings account to avoid taxation and fees while still having insurance over your stocks
o This is the safest way to trade
o You can only trade during stock trading hours and can only buy whole stocks depending on what country you live in and the exchange you use (in Canada, you cannot).
o Note that I personally feel an ETF is much more reliable than a trust and would opt into investing in a Bitcoin ETF over a Bitcoin trust for example
You can also trade peer to peer and many other ways, but this is really only meant to cover what new crypto investors and beginners would actually get into. That’s also somewhat covered in the direct crypto investing method.

People get so caught up in not pursuing their passion that they don’t pursue their passion because of it. Sounds confusing so I’ll briefly break it down. This is a scenario that presents this, but it not the only instance where this would happen.
So, let’s say it’s December 31st and New Year’s resolutions start tomorrow. You’re adamant that you will be doing something big and making a big step for yourself in the new year. “New year, new me” right? Well the thing for most people, we start to think about last year’s goals and realize that we barely stuck to it.
We justify our efforts by saying we put some effort into it, but we can fire 1000 excuses as to why it didn’t happen. Then we start to get so caught up in justifying that we didn’t achieve the goals and how it was so out of our own control that we then feel trapped in a box of our own design where we try to set out next year’s goals and wonder if there is any point considering the 1000 things that you’re up against. So instead, they watch Netflix, play video games, doing anything to distract yourself instead of just sitting there in this self-defeated state that you brought on because you thought it would make you happy to not be the cause of your own failures last year.
What really happens if you feel restricted, helpless, apathetic, guilty, upset, and ashamed that you could let this happen or that you live in a world where this is possible. On the flip side by taking on the responsibility of the consequences of all our actions and looking at what we can do every day, we can push even if 1% at a time to get exactly to where we need to be.
This is what is plaguing our society right now, especially my generation. The rejection of responsibility and assumption that entertainment will bring us happiness, and it does in the short term only. Responsibility will bring us fulfillment which is a long-term effect that will keep you motivated AND happy.
The thing is we can make ourselves happy doing all sort of horrible things, but typically fulfillment comes out of perseverance and the overcoming of obstacles and therefore people like Jordan Peterson have gained so much popularity. So many people in my generation are starving for responsibility but are struggling.
So, when you have life goals set out, I think the most important thing is to make inches towards it at a time as much as you can and just be further along than the previous year. You should only compete with yourself. Change your mindset and you can change your life.

People are always debating over when to realize your gains and take your crypto profits. There are many strategies and things that factor into this. Let’s dive into all that now!
There are many things to be considered when investing but for me the main focus for when to take out profits is centered around risk. By that I really mean risk aversion or risk tolerance. How much risk can you deal with emotionally and financially? The answers to this should guide most of your profit taking process.
The three main things that make up your risk are the cadence of your trading and profit taking, your profit taking strategy, and the coins you are investing in and their fundamentals or tokenomics.
Trading Cadence: This is how often you are trading. So for example, if you wanted to trade every day and try to take your profits at the end of each day as a day trader, you are ready for the riskiest way to invest bordering on gambling. Holding is very safe if you’re holding a really good cryptocurrency while it would be very bad for a bad cryptocurrency. The safest way to take your profits is to have a strategy in place and follow it unemotionally.
Your Profit Taking Strategy: This is when you will actually take your profits. Many people set specific price points or multipliers, like selling Bitcoin once it hits 5x the price you bought it for as an example. Some people just take profits from small wins and lock it all in, whereas holders may be treating more like gold. For me, the safest way to do this is wait until my investment has 2xed and sell off my originally investment so that the rest of my investment is 100% profit eliminating any possibility for loss. Then after this you can incrementally sell off portions of your holdings at different price multipliers like 2x, 5x, 10x, etc. This way you ensure you can’t lose money and that you will not lose out on big gains in the future. While this doesn’t give you as much reward, it eliminates most risk. You still have to invest in coins that will be able to go 2x for this to possible, so now let’s look at fundamentals.
The Coins You Invest In: Even if you don’t understand all the different consensus models, you should have the basic grasp of whether or not the token you’re investing in is: scarce, inflationary or deflationary, and a good store of value. You can have a million things to consider like uses cases etc., but I want to keep this simple. When you know what type of cryptocurrency you to invest in you still have to consider its trading volume and how many exchanges its listed on and if they’re reputable. The last thing you want to do is buy a coin no one is trading and then no one will buy it from you later on. If this is too complex, just stick to the top 50-100 coins, they’re much safer. However you should always do research and know what you’re holding. My biggest holdings are ETH and BTC.
Does that cover most of it? There are probably a million others things you could consider, but this is the introductory take on when you should take crypto profits.

The point of social media was to connect us and allow us to explore different ideas and seek out the truth on our own without relying on mainstream news to tell us what to believe and how we should perceive the world.
Today that isn't what we have and while blockchain isn't an absolute answer, many of the alternative social platforms and blockchain integrated platforms are championing free speech and individual liberties. We need to plan ahead to reap the benefits that blockchain will bring and that many other new types of platforms will bring when legacy platforms are ultimately replaced due to their lacking adaptability and flexibility.

In this video that I made a few days ago but only got to upload now. I'm basically just announcing that Gab is back and that I have high hopes for the platform to set a precedent for free speech. I am not alt-right and hardly even identify as strictly right wing. I also do not condone antisemitism, however free speech has its nuances and I support free speech before I support anti-hate speech. It's basically impossible for both. I briefly go through their Twitter and share some of the companies trying to silence them and what they've been up to.
Also I said Gabe instead of Gab like twice. Please ignore that and know that I know what I did lol.

With Metaverse tokens taking a -50% dive, I wanted to talk about why what we currently have is not a Metaverse, moreover, all we have is the centralized Metaverse aka the Centraverse.
This is my 501st post, welcome to the journey to financial independence and learning about blockchain!
The Centraverse is my way of referring to what is really the centralized Metaverse. The core concept of the Metaverse is decentralized so it’s important to call what we have now what it really is. There is no single entity that can remove you from the Metaverse in principle, but that’s what we have today.
The real Metaverse is meant to be many digital spaces that are interoperating together. The easiest way to conceptualize this is by referring to the movie Ready Player One where users could port between worlds and bring all their gear and items wherever they went. We currently have nothing like this and the closest we’ve gotten are games like Roblox, Second Life, Nintendo Miis, Snapchat avatars, Xbox avatars, Fortnite, Minecraft, and so on.
With the recent purchase of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft and then announcing cross-platform bans and block lists, I believe this had already started to conceptualize. Microsoft is attempting to become a gatekeeper for the gaming community and with it, locking in its piece of the Metaverse. Also, Gamestop announced they would create NFTs for games and the Metaverse which boosted their stocks by over 25%. This is just more fluff, they won’t be backing the Metaverse but likely just releasing collections and such. Expect more and more to be following suit and cashing in.
The only reason corporations are cashing in is because they have control. If they are able to capitalize on this before we have a truly decentralized Metaverse, then maybe they can capture the masses on their system because in comparison it will perform much better.
What we are seeing now with blockchain games and Metaverse-related cryptocurrencies like Sand, Decentraland, Ceek VR, and more is nothing more than centralized interfaces interacting with NFTs. 95% of what you experience on these platforms would not be kept if their servers were wiped. The only thing that is on the blockchain for almost all of these companies are their NFTs. The NFTs by themselves are just simple collectibles and only with these centralized interfaces are we able to interact in a Metaverse-esque way.
One thing that’s important to consider too is that a lot of what is being created doesn’t really require blockchain and it seems like most things are being built in reverse from the idea that crypto must be involved in order for them to cash in. 99% of what I see is an NFT distributor with some kind of interface application masquerading as Metaverse technology.
Elon Musk and Jack Dorsey were right to criticize the Metaverse, but they wrongly conflated it with Web3. Web3 can refer to any blockchain decentralized applications and virtually the whole ecosystem of Hive. A lot of Web3 is actually fantastic and not related at all to the Metaverse concept. I will again call out Hive as I believe it could actually provide the framework for some future Metaverse given that it actually can store a lot more data on the blockchain and isn’t just some centralized interface that connects to NFTs like most platforms.
