It's autumn, so time to turn a mushroom. I used the lowest section of a birch log for the natural edge top, as the bark had a nice structure ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69-Z-wHsUlI
Here I take a chunk of stone pine and turn a tea light holder/lantern/storm light or whatever you want to call it on the lathe.
The finished piece is 9cm in diameter and about 9cm high.

Woodturning - Natural Edge Vase
This time I turn this piece of cherry into a natural edge vase. The bark on the edge was a bit loose so i just removed it. The second part of hollowing deeper is missing, as i didn't hit the record button.

Time for more christmas decoration. In this video I turn a piece of birch into a christmas tree. The wood was already pretty soft, due to standing outside for quite a while.

Woodturning - Spalted Log To Bell
Almost too late for a christmas ornament, but here it is. I turn a spalted log of alder into a bell. Not 100% satisfied with the result, as there is still quite a bit of tear out on the finished piece because of the spalted wood.
Also have to get some heavier weights for the tripod or come up with another mounting method for the camera to get rid of the annoying shaking, whick occurs at some points in the video

This time I made a necklace/amulet out of a piece of maple and cast a spider into resin on top of it. The most difficult part was probably to bring the already dried spider back in a somewhat natural posture. Worked out pretty well in the end, even though one of the legs moved a bit forward in the resin while curing.

In this video I turn a little box. The outside is covered with coffee beans and was then filled up with epoxy resin. The little handle on the lit, again shaped like a coffee bean, is made of a scrap piece of mahagony.

Stumbled upon a video of Stewart Furini from 2017, where he did some centrifugal "painting" on a platter. So i had to try it out myself and it didn't turn out to bad in the end. Even though the red is, in my opinion, a bit to transparent after drying.

Had this may beetle lying around in a box for atleast 10 years now, just did not want to throw him away. Instead i poured some resin over him and turned a "sphere". Like this the little guy should last some more years. Unfortunately there are some air bubbles inside, because i do not own a pressure pot, as this was my first try with resin.
