After brainstorming for a bit, we decided to base the song on a breakup as a means of coping. We worked on his lyrics together and he eventually sent me vocals to work with. I spent a good 2-3 hours on the instrumental and sent him the short version for him to submit to the contest. I somehow managed to transform it into a full song and people seemed to vibe with it!
