On Friday, Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) joined a handful of other moderates to force a weeklong FBI investigation of Christine Blasey Ford’s claim that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her while they were in high school. The late twist is a testament to the power of confrontational activism — it would not have happened had Flake not been dramatically, courageously faced down in a Senate elevator by rape survivors.
Mere hours before that fateful meeting, Flake, like most other Republicans, had said he would vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court without any further investigation. I want to talk about why, and what it says about our politics.
Democrats tried to derail Trump’s nominee, so Congress stepped in with a bold move.
We’ve seen Democrats stoop to shocking new lows in the Supreme Court confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh.
If their antics during the hearings weren’t enough, they are now throwing vile accusations at the man.
A woman is claiming Kavanaugh tried to force himself on her during high school, nearly 35 years ago.
Despite his long record as a judge and numerous appointments, these allegations never before surfaced.

Sen. Susan Collins is "appalled" by President Donald Trump's tweet attacking the woman who accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault, she told reporters in her home state Maine on Friday.
The moderate Republican senator, who is a key swing vote on Kavanaugh's nomination, said that the president downplayed how few crimes of sexual assault are reported when he lashed out at Kavanaugh's accuser, Christine Blasey Ford. In a series of tweets on Friday, Trump said that "if the attack on Dr. Ford was as bad as she says, charges would have been immediately filed" and asked "Why didn’t someone call the FBI 36 years ago?"
"I was appalled by the president's tweet," Collins said, according to audio provided by her office. "I thought that the president's tweet was completely inappropriate and wrong."
Still, the Maine senator sought more to distance herself from Trump than opine on whether she believed Ford's account on Kavanaugh. She said she needed to see them both in front of her next week under oath to make that sort of judgment. Republicans working to confirm Kavanaugh said on Friday that they believe Collins could certainly still vote for his nomination if she believes his denials.

Obama failed to stop ISIS, as a matter of fact, they grew and expanded under his failed leadership – you’ll remember he called them the “JV Team,” and was unable to ever utter the words “radical Islamic terror.”
However, our successful America First President is not afraid to call a terrorist a terrorist, and he did so, today, on the anniversary of the September 11th attack that took place 17 years ago.

In the hours after Christine Blasey Ford came forward as the woman who had accused Brett Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her while they were teenagers, a small group of Republican women in Washington began talking and emailing about how to help out their compatriot.
The women, many of whom worked alongside Kavanaugh in George W. Bush’s White House and are now lobbyists or consultants, thought the news coverage of the accusations was unfair.
Many of them had already signed a letter in August to the Senate Judiciary Committee vouching for Kavanaugh’s support of women in the workplace. Now, they decided to keep up the defense of their ex-colleague with a Twitter and Facebook campaign using the hashtag #istandwithbrett.
The hashtag wasn’t trending in Washington on Wednesday afternoon, but among a certain set of Republican insiders, the messages were hard to miss.

Media Giant Forced To Eat Crow After Publishing Fake Nikki Haley Story.
In a lame attempt to ‘curtain shame’ U.N. Ambassador, Nikki Haley – the leftist media got it SO WRONG they officially CORRECTED a FAKE story they ran with!
On Friday, the failing New York Times ran a story titled “Nikki Haley’s View of New York Is Priceless. Her Curtains? $52,701.”
It’s ‘curtains’ for the Dems.
The only problem was – Nikki Haley did not purchase the curtains with the price tag of almost fifty-three thousand dollars. The Obama administration did!

Remember when Obama didn’t believe that Trump could bring manufacturing jobs back to the United States – he assumed they were gone forever – typical globalist.
He even asked what “magical wand” Trump had to achieve such an IMPOSSIBLE task.
Well, President Trump did it. Not only did he fix Obama’s broken economy, but he also brought manufacturing jobs back home!
Trump’s eldest son Don Jr. made sure to remind Obama of this very fact during a recent radio interview.

At first, the Sunday night publication of a New Yorker article detailing a new allegation of sexual misconduct against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh looked like a disaster for the White House.
But by Monday afternoon, President Donald Trump’s aides and allies argued it was not only survivable, but that they could turn an alleged “smear” into a political winner that might help rescue Kavanaugh’s nomination. The judge‘s accusers had overplayed their hand, they insisted of the mounting charges, and revealed the coordinated partisan attack on an honorable man.
Trump led the new offensive, telling reporters that the charges “could be one of the single most unfair, unjust things to happen to a candidate for anything." The allegations are “starting to feel like a vast left-wing conspiracy,” counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway told CBS. In a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee, Kavanaugh rejected the accusations as “smears, pure and simple,” adding: “The last-minute character assassination will not succeed.” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell attributed the charges to “the resistance.”
Undergirding the firm response was the White House’s belief that surrender in the face of what Republican loyalists consider a liberal assault would cost Trump dearly with conservative voters, a view drawn from internal White House polling. Some key Trump officials and allies also believe the allegations are not true, or that Kavanaugh is being unfairly condemned without the benefit of due process, and are fighting to save a good man’s honor.
