If you are wondering, yes, I'm doing it again but hopefully in much better quality. Welcome to Them's Fightin' Herds. Them's Fightin' Herds actually started as a fan made fighting game for My Little Pony, known as Fighting is Magic. Unfortunately that gets kiboshed when Hasbro issued a C&D on it. But not all was in vain. The people behind it decide to do something original so with the help of a Kickstarter along with Lauren Faust herself, the game would be reborn as Them's Fightin Herds. If you are wondering, this uses the Skullgirls Engine so if you notice me pulling off crazy combos, there you go. Like Skullgirls, less is more and I like that honestly. Also Shanty is now in the base roster in the console versions. I covered Shanty in the Steam version and I will probably do it again. What's interesting is that this is NOT a full price game. For $20, you get a very solid fighting game that has arcade mode, story, online, training, the works. It's pretty impressive. There's a deluxe edition as well and it comes with the Season Pass that's going to offer new characters and nifty stuff. The deluxe edition is $40 and if you want to get everything, I highly recommend that. So today, you will be seeing me conquer Arcade Mode with the main characters. I will do the story mode. All I ask is for patience as I take care of this first. That and I have to balance between this and The Wind Waker HD. Just saying. Today I put my focus on Velvet. Velvet specializes in using Ice attacks to deal damage. Sometimes she can use the wind to push opponents towards or away. Her supers though, very damaging especially her Level 3. But yeah, the boss fights though... holy crap they are annoying as hell. Sheesh and it's on MEDIUM difficulty. What the hell?! Thea 2: The Shattering begins with you choosing a god to worship followed by your characters to have on your party. One part of it is an RPG where you move about in a map where you explore, create items, the works. When combat occurs, it goes into a card game section where you must build an army of units capable of combating any situation. It's needed if you want to succeed. There are objectives but the game itself is too massive. In this, we have to investigate a certain part of town, find clues, solve cases, etc. But the big focus are the Chimeras and one such investigation leads us back into the Chimera dimension. Not only that but we had to rescue someone who ended up getting dragged into it. It also means that we get a showdown with a pair of Chimeras including the Arrow Legion. The Arrow Legion boss fight will mostly require you to use focus to break down walls in order to reach the boss and deal damage. Once you take it down, you capture it and unlock the Arrow Legionis. This means you now have two Legions, two out of five. Help get your partner out of there and that'll be it for Mission 3.
