http://MyMustangRestoration.com - This video tutorial, we discuss applying weld thru primer to protect the metal to be welded from corrosion. Once the weld thru primer is applied, we install and secure the outer wheelhouse and plug weld the panels together. Once the wheelhouse is welded on, we'll grind the plug welds and apply self etch primer to the metal to protect from rust.

We tried the new PPG Clear Coat PPG - Deltron DC2000 Ultra Velocity Clear with Superfast Air Dry Capability. It claims that it can be sanded and buffed in 30 minutes or less.
After spraying the parts we allowed it to set for 30 minutes with no heat, then sanded and buffed a small area. The clear coat work as described and looked great. This is great clear if you are in a hurry for one or two parts. It is not designed to spray completes as it dries to fast.
Auto Rust Repair Information at http://CollisionBlast.com
Rust not only looks bad, but will continue to spread if not taken care of. Rust should be taken care of as soon as you first notice signs of rust present. If repaired early enough, a patch panel will not need to be made. You should be able to remove the rust and use the remaining metal with cutting and welding.
However, if there is a whole, the rust has eaten completely through the metal and require cutting a section out and welding a new piece in.
This is part 1, which we will discuss how to identify, mark and cut the rust hole.
