Plants - Agave - flower more than 9 feet long and swarming with bees
Here's a video of some Agave plants we saved from green waste (being mulched into compost). The smaller plant has produced an amazing flower, over 9 feet long and swarming with lovely little bees.
Apparently, the Agave leaves are used to make tequila.
More info: * Agave is a genus of monocots native to the hot and arid regions of the Americas, although some Agave species are also native to tropical areas of South America. The genus Agave is primarily known for its succulent and xerophytic species that typically form large rosettes of strong, fleshy leaves. * REF: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agave
Just a quick heads-up ... brace yourself for the coming media hysteria ....
We are going to have 1 Million Coronavirus Cases and 50 thousand Coronavirus Deaths within 24 hours.
The number of Cases, Deaths, and Recoveries are all going up exponentially.
There's no need for supermarket brawls or stockpiling huge amounts of food or toilet paper.
The food and toilet paper will NOT run out as long as everyone stays calm and buys only what they need.
Stay safe. Practice social isolation, wash your hands, look out for your neighbours, friends and family, and buy only what you need to get through the next week, and we will all get through this.

I love watching Quad Biking, Snow Mobiling, Mud Bogging, and repairing old bikes and machines videos on YouTube - special shout out to Harvey Spooner, Ostacruiser, Mustie1, Quad Ricers, AULTimate Outdoors, CarsandCameras, Marty T, Andrew Camarata, Ed Moore's Rusty Resurrections, Udizzy1969, Kevin Bergeron, and so many other people producing awesome videos on YouTube.
Some of these guys are dealing with lots of snow at the moment, which is awesome, but where I live in Queensland Australia we have lots of hot days and tons of sand. Everything is so dry, we dream of rain ... and some snow to cool things down would be so great ... but it has never snowed anywhere round here.
So here's my humble video - my first quad biking video. Sorry about the shakey camera work, I'm holding the camera with one hand and riding with the other, and riding on lots of soft sand.
Note that the camera flattens everything out. It's a lot more hilly and lumpy in real life. Honest ! :)
My Quad Bike is just a cheap China Quad, but it's still a lot of fun. The guy I purchased it off (a few days ago) is a Yamaha guy and he stuck Yamaha stickers all over the Quad.
Update: my China quad bike make / model:
* Parklander ATV quad bike PQV-150ST-A, 2012, 150cc, 4 stroke, single speed forward and reverse, electric start, headlight, blinkers, light bar, etc.

Java, JavaFX, NetBeans, and Scene Builder.
In Part 10 of this tutorial series, we continue the development of our Student Admin App, and explore the options for loading and saving files, examine the code structure of our JavaFX Application, and work out the best place(s) to put the code for loading and saving files (File I/O), etc.

This video demonstrates the best way to perform user input validation and exception handling, examines Java's Exception Class Hierarchy and Exception handling strategy, and answers the following questions:
* How do I validate user inputs ?
* Where should the code to validate inputs go ? In the GUI class ? In the data class ? Why ?
* Should errors be displayed in a Message dialog, in a Label, in the Console window, and/or somewhere else ?
* What about Exception Handling ?
* What are the advantages of using Exception Handling ? Why bother ?
* What is the best way to handle Exceptions ?
* Should I "use" an existing Exception class ?
* How do I create my own Exceptions ?
* Which part of the Exception hierarchy should my Exceptions extend ?
* How do I make it all work ?
Note: further improvements can be made, but this video shows enough for this "simple" GUI / data example. :)

FAQ:
* Q. Why are you suddenly using Java, NetBeans, Scene Builder ??? What happened to TextPad ?
* A. The courses I am now teaching use Java, NetBeans, Scene Builder, so my students use these tools, and therefore any videos I create for my students will use these tools.
* Q. The way you have shown X,Y,Z is not the best way to do things ?
* A. The videos are primarily for my students, and I show them how best to do things with the Java they have covered so far.
