This is a practice in balancing the individual instruments, especially the kickdrum. I find that no matter how fast or slow you play, everything should sound even and in balance with the rest of the kit without triggers, samples or microphones. the kit is miced up for another session...don't always practice your speed, balance is more important.. don't let the cymbals overrule the rest. keep snarehits consistent and play your bassdrum loud, even in fast parts. I haven't edited anything out so you hear me make mistakes. I watch this later on and analyze what I have done wrong to learn
the kit is an old beat up rehearsalkit with heads that are years old and untuned.. that's what you also will encounter on stage so.. make it work..
