I was on the walking street in Pattaya, Thailand during the evening and as you can imagine the environment brings out all types of people and I mean all types. People just hanging out, some trying to make a buck, others people watching, drinking and engaged in various types of activity. Every bar had women and ladyboys outside working to get the passersby to come in, some were sort of passive but others were rather aggressive. All were dressed provocatively or at a minimum in some interesting clothing combinations. If you want more info start with video 1

Another video from my road trip through Kosovo, Albania, Montenegro and Croatia. Beautiful country, great people, rural and rugged more often than not. I loved it.

Here is one of several videos I made during a visit to Anek Kusol Sala. I rode over on a motorbike and purchased a ticket to visit the site which is quite striking and the entry area is filled with statues, icons and colorful walls. The people working inside are friendly and helpful but there is a tone of reverence you can feel as there are statues of Buddha everywhere.
The site appears to be quite popular as there were many tourists walking around during the time I spent viewing the building and its contents. The museum has hundreds of pieces of Chinese artwork, which appear to be primarily bronze and brass statues of historical figures as well as Buddhist, Confucian and Taoist deities. The museum was founded by Sa-nga Kulkobkiat, a Thai national who grew up in China, it is a friendship-building project between the two countries and it contains an amazing collection of art and there is quite a bit of English-language signage as well as a bilingual guidebook which is available.
The 1st floor is has an array of Chinese immortals, from Pangu, the cosmic giant, to Guan Yin, the goddess of mercy. The 2nd-floor terrace has larger-than-life-sized statues of Shaolin monks depicting different martial arts poses. Close by is a collection of daily life statues (a fortune teller, dress maker, liquor seller) that visitors place one baht coins on.
This museum is 16km south of central Pattaya; take The Sukhumvit to the turn-off for Wat Yan Sangwararam. There is a Pattaya-Sattahip sŏrng·tăa·ou (25B) that will take you to the turn-off; from there you can hire a motorcycle the remaining 3km to the museum (50B) but finding a ride back to the main road is difficult. You can either negotiate with the driver to wait or come with your own transport.

Ah Cambridgeshire. Don’t you just love the suffix “Shire”? It’s so English … at least to me. Did I mention my British friends love to poke fun at me when I pronounce English words that end in Shire? Anyhow, while I was in England I visited several places in the county or Shire of Cambridge, some multiple times due to the fun I had there. In this and video posts that follow you'll see videos of these areas:
Cambridge -This place has it all, universities, museums, parks, pubs, cathedrals and churches. I visited multiple times and enjoyed every time. It has arguably one of the most famous and prestigious universities in the world, Cambridge. Some of the most famous Mathematicians and physicists in the history of mankind have taught here, the latest being Steven Hawking.
Ely - This place has an enormous cathedral and parking is free. Yes, you heard it right. Free. Hard to believe but I tried to pay and was told to forget it, you are in Ely now. Nice city, friendly people and clean.
Huntingdon - I chose this place due to it’s proximity to the highway and a few other things I wanted to be close to. It is a nice little town, with activities and shopping for all ages.
St Neots - You really need to spend a bit of time here during the festivals or just pub crawling

So, I mentioned in other videos what driving or riding in Thailand is like. An I mentioned an interesting way to get from Bangkok to Pattaya is by van or bus? There doesn't appear to be any meaningful driving laws or speed limits other than try not to run people down or smash into anything. I took a bus from Bangkok’s Ekamai station to Pattaya so I could wander around one of the primary tourist meccas.
I spent several weeks tramping around the area, eating, talking to the locals and basically enjoying myself. It's busy most of the day throughout the city and especially on the walking street. There are taxis running around the clock so getting up and down the beach is easy. There are also busses that run from the Jomtien bus station to the airport in Bangkok. It’s inexpensive as well, something like $4 from the airport to Jomtien bus station. There is quite a bit to see in the area, some of it reasonable and some not. If you’re into Buddhist culture and temples there are more than a few to visit. The whole area is designed to keep tourist busy with indoor and outdoor shopping, eating and drinking, hanging out on the beach and other creative ways to burn up time.
Although the area isn’t terribly expensive, especially during the off season, if you get out of the tourist areas it’s very reasonable, even cheap. I would go to Pattaya at least once so you can say you went. Here are a few things I'll elaborate on in other videos.
