Chocolate Mousse Brownies
Ingredients
For the Brownie Layer:
- 2 tablespoons Softened butter (for greasing the pan)
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups sugar
- 8 ounces melted butter (2 sticks)
- 1 1/4 cups cocoa powder (sifted)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup flour (sifted)
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
For Chocolate Mousse:
- 10 ounces milk chocolate (finely chopped)
- 2 1/2 cups whipping cream (chilled)
- 7 grams gelatin
- 2 tablespoons water

Instructions
For the Brownie:
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
- Place parchment paper in a 13x9 inches pan so it covers the bottom and 2 sides (to facilitate the brownie removal). Butter the pan and set aside.
- In a mixer fitted with the wire attachment, beat the eggs at medium speed until fluffy and light yellow, add the sugar and beat until combined. Add remaining ingredients, and mix to combine.
- Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 30-35 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center of the pan, it should come out with just a few crumbles attached. I find that 25-30 minutes in my oven for this recipe is perfect timing.
- When done, remove from oven and place the pan on a cooling rack, do not remove the brownie from the pan.
For Chocolate Mousse:
- Bring a pot of water to boil, place chocolate in a heatproof bowl and melt over the pot of simmering water. When melted, remove from heat and set aside.
- In a small bowl, place gelatin and water, allow the gelatin to bloom, let it sit for 10 minutes.
- In the meantime, in a sauce pan, bring 1/2 cup of cream to a boil. Add the gelatin mixture to the cream, stir to fully incorporate the gelatin. Remove from heat.
- Pour about half of the cream mixture into the chocolate and whisk quickly, add the rest of the chocolate and whisk until well combined. The mixture will be very smooth and shiny.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the wire attachment, place the remaining 2 cups of cream and whisk until soft peaks form.
- When the chocolate mixture has cooled to room temperature, fold in the whipped cream manually using a spatula.
- Pour on top of the completely cooled brownie pan and level the top layer. Place in the fridge overnight, or for at least 6 hours.
- Before serving, remove from the fridge, lift the mousse brownies from the pan using the parchment paper edges, sprinkle with cocoa powder, run a knife thru cold water and cut into square bars.

?? How to LOSE WEIGHT FAST: 3 Simple Steps, Based on Science
There are many ways to lose a lot of weight fast.
That said, many diet plans leave you feeling hungry or unsatisfied. These are major reasons why you might find it hard to stick to a diet.
However, not all diets have this effect. Low carb diets are effective for weight loss and may be easier to stick to than other diets.
1. Cut back on carbs
The most important part is to cut back on sugars and starches, or carbohydrates.
When you do that, your hunger levels go down, and you generally end up eating significantly fewer calories.
Instead of burning carbs for energy, your body now starts burning stored fat for energy.
2. Eat protein, fat, and vegetables
Each one of your meals should include a protein source, fat source, and low carb vegetables.
As a general rule, try eating two to three meals per day. If you find yourself hungry in the afternoon, add a fourth meal.
Constructing your meals in this way should bring your carb intake down to around 20-50 grams per day.
3. Lift weights three times per week
By lifting weights, you will burn lots of calories and prevent your metabolism from slowing down, which is a common side effect of losing weight.
Studies on low carb diets show that you can gain a bit of muscle while losing significant amounts of body fat.
If lifting weights is not an option for you, doing some cardio workouts like walking, jogging, running, cycling, or swimming will suffice. Both cardio and weightlifting can help with weight loss.

Lo primero que les voy a contar es sobre las cifras alarmantes que se manejan sólo en Estados Unidos y que podrían estar indicando que estamos ante una posible epidemia, la epidemia de la diabetes. Y es que recientes estudios arrojan estimaciones del aumento de casos de diabetes de hasta el 700% en apenas 50 años.
Tan solo en Estados Unidos alrededor de 26 millones de individuos tienen un diagnóstico de diabetes tipo 2 y al menos 79 millones de personas están muy cerca de serlo pues se encuentran en un estado conocido como pre-diabetes.
La Diabetes Tipo 2 Se puede Prevenir
Pero más allá de estas cifras, lo que no te dice tu médico es que no es cuestión de “herencia” como muchas personas tienden a creer (si la abuela la padece, la madre la padece, entonces la hija también lo padecerá. Nada más falso que eso). Y es que, aunque tu madre o tu abuela tengan diabetes no quiere decir que tú no puedas prevernirlo.
Y mejor aún, hasta curar la diabetes tipo 2. Para ello, lo que debes conocer y estar consciente es de aquello que causa el deterioro de la sensibilidad de tu organismo a la insulina y la leptina; una vez estando consciente de ello, solo bastará con hacer cambios sencillos en tu vida y sin gastar grandes cantidades de dinero en medicamentos para lograr vencer en la batalla contra esta enfermedad.

En este tipo de diabetes el cuerpo produce la insulina, pero no la reconoce ni la utiliza de la forma que debería. Por eso es importante que dejes de pensar que la diabetes es la enfermedad de azúcar en la sangre. Porque no lo es. La diabetes es un trastorno de la insulina y la leptina en el cuerpo, en la cual es clave la sensibilidad a la insulina.
Pero esto es algo de lo que la medicina convencional se niega a investigar y por eso continuamos perdiendo esa importante batalla con una enfermedad a a la que también ha llamado “asesino silencioso”.
