The long running show that awards movies that goes may or may not have heard of before... It also can't seem to get itself out the boiling pot of controversy.

Song: "I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing (In Perfect Harmony)" By The New Seekers
For many that do not know, I usually like songs that date back to the early 50's all the way into the 80's to today. The music I chose to make a PMV for is one that has a rich history to it...
For those that don't know what I am talking about. In the year 1971, Coca-Cola released a commercial known as, "Hilltop" Or to some as "Buy the World a Coke" (The Commercial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VM2eLhvsSM ). The story of this ad is massive I will not bore you the details... But if you are curious, The Coca-Cola Company has the article on the making of the famous commercial on their website. http://www.coca-colacompany.com/stories/coke-lore-hilltop-story The ad also saw it's little appearance on the AMC Original Series, 'Mad Men' (Which I highly recommend seeing. The show is very accurate to the real life ads that were published during the time the show takes place).
It also saw it's way on the airwaves just months after the ad was aired. Two versions were done by two different artist, The Hillside Singers (To advertise with the original ad) and The New Seekers (The version I'm very familiar with because of defunct oldies station played it in high school and I fell in love it and which is now an online radio station). I figured with the PMV I'd mashed The Ponies with one of the most famous ads turned into a million record seller in the UK and was #7 on Billboard's Hot 100 and became a gold record in the US during it's run. so I hope you enjoy the PMV.
"Hiltop" ad belongs to The Coca-Cola Company.
"I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing (In Perfect Harmony)" By The New Seekers belongs to Philips Records (Germany), Polydor Records (UK) and Elektra Records (US and Canada)
