PodrÃamos haber cambiado la alternativa obligada en un momento de nuestra existencia, pero NO HOY. Es una alternativa que tuvimos que adoptar para sobrevivir, como consecuencia de la catástrofe planetaria de hace 70 mil años.
Pero eso ya quedó atrás. Hoy sabemos que no es la alternativa correcta la que hemos adoptado, y estamos a tiempo para modificarla de raÃz.

What we call "human cultures" are social arrangements that have been designed after the discovery and widespread use of agriculture, about ten thousand years ago. But, why have all these cultures exerted so much suffering on the human being in general?
And of all the uncertainties, which lead to suffering, the central one is the attitude towards sexuality. Why have all these cultures been so cruel about what people in general must endure in order to enjoy the sexual aspect of their lives?
Some books like "Sex At Dawn" have a very interesting way of explaining why most cultures right after agriculture was introduced, have been so stubbornly inhumane with the human animal.
I suppose we are now capable of analyzing ourselves as a species and concede that we have been blatantly wrong in the way we have been trying to force ourselves to live. If you like to read in Spanish, my very colloquial novel "Diez mil años de crueldad" suggests a way of living that would not be so cruel. It's a collection of dialogues that I really enjoyed writing, wishing they someday would eventually become reality.
