How To Write Clean Code?
As software developers, writing code is definitely a priority for us. Just like architects, whose task is to design beautiful and good looking buildings, our job is quite similar.
We're hired to create automation solutions to problems that exist in different industries. Sometimes, people only tend to evaluate the final product, which is the app/software/solution we present them.
However, there is much more to this story. The foundation of the final product is the code. And, when the code is well written, everything flows much better.
So, how can you possibly write better and cleaner code? The cleaner your code, the better you'll be seen as a professional and the easier it will be for you to make adjustments, correct bugs and implement new features in the future.
Are you interested in writing cleaner code? Watch this video and find out!

Stop Making Excuses & Take Fucking Action!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqz0gkGpARg&index=101&list=PLjwWT1Xy3c4XRTEK79UXmtkUT-jsP4rUP
Stop With The Excuses & Pay The Consequences
A lot of people make excuses for their mistakes. When they first get confronted with a failure they just end up giving excuses for the mistakes they've made and they literally don't evaluate, at least, what happened to things end up that way.
I agree that not everything is under your control. There are a lot of things that can turn out to be wrong and you cannot control.
However, it is important that you set yourself up, evaluate your mistakes and study how you can improve and prevent this from happening next time.
So, this why I say: stop with the excuses and pay the consequences!

Self-Evaluations At Work...
Whether you're a manager or employee, reviews aren't a particularly popular subject and with them comes the often-despised self-evaluation. You may ask yourself: "How can I shine the best spotlight on my performance without looking like I'm a jackass and I'm bragging myself?"
This is such an important topic to be discussed because I see a lot of developers having trouble with this.
Self-Evaluations are not easy. In one hand we do not want to come off as jackasses and give ourselves something we don't deserve but we also don't want to give ourselves bad grades.
So... How do you do self-evaluations the right way?

The Secret Of Life - Trusting The Process: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0thiApKUM0
Don't Focus On Results
How many times have you felt frustrated when you did not get the things you wanted? Have you ever wondered why this might be happening to you? Maybe, this is because you're focusing on results.
We all focus on results sometimes in our lives. And I couldn't blame you for that. It's hard to keep working hard and not seeing any results. We all want to get the results from what we worked for so hard and for a lot of time. But, it can't be frustrated, I know.
Instead of asking "How do I do this?" or "How can I do this?" you find yourself anxiously thinking "Can I do this?" and "What if I fail?". The joy of learning ceases to exist. In my experience, learning can be a tremendous source of fulfilment and joy. But to experience, this takes valuing the process over the end result and not comparing yourself to others.
At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is the hard work you've done. So, if you're suffering solely from focusing on results, watch this video and find out!

How I'd Start An Internet Business Today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jaaQltNTn6Q
What If You Could Be Financially Free?
This is the dream of most people. Imagine if you could be financially free? Imagine if you could live your life without worrying about expenses, bills, wage, etc.
I came up with this concept that, once we are born, we actually don't own anything. Once we are born, we are born in debt. Throughout our lives, we need to pay this "debt" we got once we were born.
What most people end up doing, however, is staying in this forever debt they have. What are the consequences? You'll never be financially free. You'll never have control over your life!

Developer's Side Projects By Chris Hawkes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6ypPpk9ymg
Developer's Side Projects Article By Joel: https://simpleprogrammer.com/devsideprojectarticle
My Take On Joel's Article "Developer's Side Projects"
So, recently I came across this article titled "Developer's Side Projects" by Joel. Chris Hawkes, a buddy of mine, has recorded a video and he asked me what was my take on this article.
So, before anything else, I got pissed off. I got pissed off because I can't stand seeing people talk like that. In the article, Joel discusses side projects and how it relates to software developers, whether it is a good practice or not.
Here are just a few pieces from the article that really pissed me off:
"Most developers think that the work they do at work belongs to their employer, but anything they work on at home or on their own time is theirs. This is wrong enough to be dangerous."
"Every software company is going to want to own the copyright to the code that its employees write for them, so no software company can accept the "default" way the law works. That is why all software companies that are well-managed will require all developers, at the very least, to sign an agreement that says, at the very least, that..."
Anyway, if you really want to know my opinion on this, watch the entire video. I'm pretty sure you'll agree with me.

This is a recorded session from my talk at Oredev 2014:
Learning how to use a tool like Selenium to create automated tests is not enough to be successful with an automation effort. You also need to know how to build an automation framework that can support creating tests that are not so fragile that they constantly break. This is the real key to success in any automation effort.

Does It Matter Which Programming Language I Use?
Have you ever wondered if it mattered which programming language you use as you work?
As programmers, we need to learn how to make choices. Technology evolves at such a rapid pace that you can feel overwhelmed if you try to learn everything. There are hundreds of programming languages for you to choose and specialize and this is often why so many programmers get lost in their careers.
So, does it matter which programming language you use? Will if affect your career, your choices and, even, your income?
