RoboCop: Rogue City - 17 OCP Headquarters - No Commentary
No commentary playthrough of Robocop: Rogue City. Normal difficulty. This is a blind playthrough (except for the first level, which was in the demo).
Robocop: Rogue City is a new game based in the universe created by Paul Verhoeven for the cinema back in 1989. It was published by Nexon in 2023 and developed by Teyon, known for the terrible Rambo game (though I enjoyed it), and Terminator: Resistance. This game is set up between the events of the second and the third movie, when a new top dog villain arrives at Detroit City stirring the wasps nest.
R:RG is a FPS running under Unreal Engine 5 and putting it to good use without actually punishing our hardware too much. It combines linear levels, with others with some free roaming where we can do some sidequests aside from our main task, and the police station hub level. It is a very fun game, a labor of love to the franchise with satisfying gunplay making everything in the scene literally blow up, very good visuals*, and with the fan service through the roof. This game comes not without its shortcomings, it is nowhere near AAA game territory, namely AA or even A and it shows in some aspects. Given the limited budget, some locales are reused several times, and the character models show stiff animations in the simple scripted cutscenes. But if you can forgive these details, you'll discover that the devs really went hard doing the best they could do.
This is not a 100% run, it is a blind playthrough, my first time through the game, doing as much content as I could find. I also went with normal difficulty because I wanted to feel like freaking Robocop, a walking tank carelessly pushing forward and wasting thugs.
Footage was recorded at 1440p and upscaled to 4K with the AV1 codec for best video quality thanks to the improved bitrate.

Este juego se situa entre los eventos de la segunda y la tercera película, cuando un nuevo villano llega a Detroit, alterando el gallinero.
R:RG es un FPS corriendo bajo Unreal Engine 5 y poniéndolo a buen uso sin castigar demasiado a nuestro harware. Combina niveles lineales, con otros con algo de libre albedrío con misiones secundarias además de la principal, y el hub de la comisaría de policía. Es un juego divertido, una labor de amor hacia la franquicia con acción satisfactoria que hace que todo salte por los aires, muy buenos gráficos, y con todo el fan service posible. El juego tampoco viene con sus peros, no es ni de cerca un juego AAA, llamadlo AA o incluso A, y se hace ver en algunos aspectos. Dado el presupuesto limitado, veremos algunos lugares reutilizados varias veces, y los modelos de los personajes muestras unas animaciones rígidas en unas escenas con un guión simplón. Pero si podeis perdonar estos detalles, descubrireis que los desarrolladores fueron con todo, haciéndolo lo mejor que lo pudieron hacer.
Este no es un playthrough 100%, es a ciegas, mi primera vez jugando el juego, haciendo todo el contenido que pude encontrar. Tambien fui en dificultad normal porque quería sentirme como el pvto Robocop, un tanque con patas avanzando sin parar liquidando sabandijas.
El metraje fue grabado en 1440p y escalado a 4K con el códec AV1 para una mayor calidad de vídeo gracias a un mejor bitrate.

No commentary playthrough of Vivisector: Beast Within, presented in 4K, played on normal difficulty if I remember correctly.
Vivisector is a FPS developed by Action Forms (Chasm, Carnivores series) and released after a series of misadventures for Windows PCs in 2005-2006. This game was originally set to release in 2001-2002 as a Carnivores kind of spinoff starring Duke Nukem, called Endangered Species, where Duke would hunt rare monsters and mythical beasts. Had it come out as Endangered Species in 2002, the game would still have a chance thanks to its nice looking, sprawling open environments. But it took four years after the cancellation of the Duke game for this to come out. The game also features a nice dismemberment system where you blow off chunks of meat from the models with your shots.
You're a soldier on a mission to a remote island, only to find the most dystopian of the scenarios, a race of genetically engineered half human/half animal species are leading a rebellion against their creator, the evil Dr. Morhead's.
Vivisector is a B game with a dull start which turns into a pleasant ride once the regular animals are replaced by the mutant hybrid enemies. The plot is super cheesy and ridiculous, but in a B-Movie way.

Vivisector es un FPS desarollado por Action Forms (Chasm, Carnivores) y lanzado para PCs con Windows en 2005-2006 tras varias desventuras. Este juego inicialmente iba a ser lanzado en 2001-2002 como una especie de spinoff de Carnivores protagonizada por Duke Nukem, llamado Endangered Species, donde Duke cazaría monstruos raros y bestias míticas. Si hubiese salido como Endangered Species en 2002, este juego hubiese tenido una oportunidad, gracias a sus entornos vastos y vistosos. Pero le llevó cuatro años despues de la cancelación del juego de Duke para llegar a buen puerto. El juego tambien tiene un buen sistema de desmembramiento con el que podemos volarle trozos de carne a los enemigos al dispararles.
Eres un soldado en una misión a una isla remota, donde te encuentras un escenario de lo más distópico, una raza híbrida de hombres/animal diseñados genéticamente están levantados en rebelión contra su creador, el Dr. Morhead.
Vivisector es un juego de categoría B con un comienzo soso que se torna en una experiencia agradable cuando los animales son reemplazados por los mutantes como enemigos. La trama es super ridícula, pero como la de una película de serie B.

The Painkiller-beating-the-dead-horse didn't stop at Redemption. The same devs went on and brought us this piece of crap which is marginally better than Redemption, and that's all because it actually features new, original levels. The boring gameplay stays the same. I'm not doing all secrets because they require stupid amounts of trickjumping and corpse-boosting.

El machaque a la ya muerta franquicia de Painkiller no se detuvo en Redemption. Los mismos desarrolladores continuaron y nos trajeron este pedazo de mierda que es marginalmente mejor que Redemption ya que al menos incorpora nuevos y originales mapas. El gameplay aburrido es el mismo. No muestro todos los secretos porque requieren cantidades ridículas de saltos trucados e impulsarse con cadáveres.

Heretic II was a departure from previous Serpent Riders games, showing Corvus in a 3rd person action/adventure game. Corvus finally makes it back to his homeworld only to see that it has fallen in despair. A strange plague is affecting elves and turning them mad, and the tomes of power are gone. Who has them? Sporting the Quake 2 engine, it offered great visuals and pretty decent gameplay (for a 3rd person shooter of the era). But don't worry, there are 1st person mods around if you wanna change that.

Heretic II fue un cambio respecto a los anteriores juegos de los Serpent Riders, enseñando a Corvus en un juego de acción y aventura en 3ª persona. Corvus finalmente consigue volver a su mundo solamente para presenciar que ha caído en desgracia. Una extraña plaga está afectando a los elfos y volviéndolos locos, y los tomos de poder han desaparecido. ¿Quién los tiene? Corriendo bajo el motor de Quake 2, ofrecía buenas visuales y un gameplay decente (para un shooter de tercera persona de la época). Pero no se preocupen, hay mods de primera persona por ahí sueltos si desean cambiar eso.

Insanity Edged is the long awaited sequel for 2012's Winters Fury created by Pieruskwurje, with gorgeous superdetailed levels which will challenge your computer, a new roster of weapons and a bunch of new monsters. If you've played Winter's Fury there's not much more to say, but if you haven't be ready for a treat for your eyes. Expect the playthrough to be segmented at some points, I don't have much time these days and some ambushes are nasty.

Insanity Edged es la esperada secuela de Winter's Fury de 2012 creada por Pieruskwurje, con exhuberante niveles superdetallados que pondrán a prueba tu pc, un nuevo elenco de armas y un puñado de monstruos nuevos. Si has jugado a Winter's Fury no hay mucho más que decir, si no es el caso prepárate para deleitar tus ojos. No commentary playthrough of the Doom2: Plutonia Experiment megawad, Urania. Pistol start on every level, Ultra-Violence difficulty, all kills* and secrets.
Since I was asked several times about this wad, I'll start publishing it now. This is like the sequel to the sequel of Plutonia, a difficult, difficult wad, and not because it's a slaughterfest... Each level is like some kind of sadistic chess game were you are losing, since you are being flanked from every angle at the beginning, losing a chess piece (health) with every move, forcing you to be a patient and choose your fights. Zounds of chaingunners, monsters teleporting in in the room you cleaned a minute before just because fuck you, and lots of pesky archviles resurrecting old fights. Its frustrating at times, but you feel rewarded when you manage to break it. So enjoy!
(*) Missed like two monsters in the whole megawad, no idea where they are.

Ya que se me ha preguntado varias veces por este wad, voy a empezar a publicarlo ya. Esto es como "la secuela de la secuela de Plutonia", un wad difícil difícil, y no porque sea un slaughterfest... Cada nivel es como una especie de partida sádica de ajedrez en la que vas perdiendo, ya que te franquan desde todos los ángulos desde el principio, perdiendo una pieza (salud) con cada movimiento, forzándote a ser paciente y elegir tus peleas. Centenares de chaingunners, monstruos teleportándose en la habitación que acabas de limpiar hace un minuto porque "que te jodan", y muchos arch-viles resucitando viejas peleas. Es frustrante en ocasiones, pero te sientes recompensado cuando por fin te las apañas para conseguirlo. Así que, disfrutad!
(*) Me han faltado como dos monstruos en todo el megawad, ni idea de dónde están.

No commentary playthrough of Cultic, very hard difficulty level.
You investigate a mysterious cult that allegedly has been making lots of people dissapear... until you get caught by them. Kill armed monks with lots of different weapons, including dynamite. Sounds familiar, right? Cultic takes cues from Blood and delivers a really satisfying experience, with chonky weapons, brutal explosions and lots of gore. Really good stuff from a 1 man studio to be honest.

Investigas un misterioso culto que supuestamente ha estado haciendo desaparecer a gente... hasta que te atrapan. Mata monjes armados con muchas armas diferentes, incluída dinamita. Suena familiar, ¿verdad? Cultic toma inspiración de Blood y propociona una experiencia muy satisfactoria, con armas contundentes, explosiones salvajes y mucho gore. Excelente para un solo desarrollador.

Wolfstone 3D is the easter egg included in Wolfenstein: The New Colossus, where you can play original Wolf3d on an arcade machine. It's Wolf3D, but the graphics have been altered so the good guys are the natsis, and the evil ones are Blazkowich and his rebellion friends. Every natsi reference has been also removed from the game. A few levels also had relevant changes and one is completely new

Wolfstone 3D es un huevo de pascua incluído en Wolfenstein: The New Colossus, donde puedes jugar el Wolf3D en una máquina arcade. Es Wolf3D, sólo que los gráficos han sido cambiados para que los buenos sean los natsis y los malos Blazkowich y sus amigos de la rebelión. Tambien se han quitado todas las referencias natsis del juego. Algunos niveles han recibido cambios relevantes y uno es completamente nuevo.
