Ep:29 The Great Loop on a Shanty Boat | "All the World's a Museum" | Time out of Mind
Howdy! Fellow adventurers. In this episode, Wavey and I take you on a Beagle Walking Tour of Demopolis, Alabama. You tell us if it feels like touring an open-air museum. We also find some interesting and unconventional places to stay for the night--just one of the many benefits of a Shanty Boat:)
Howdy guys and gals, the weather finally broke in Superiorland--and we jumped all over it. Gathering driftwood in the spring is the best because it hasn't been picked over for beach fires yet (and the occasional odd driftwood gatherer like myself). I have this vision of building something really neat out of all found driftwood someday. Some of it will inevitably end up in and on the Beagle Barge I'm sure. I tried to make this a very peaceful video, I hope you enjoy it.

Howdy folks, day two on the shanty boat beagle adventure and the dream of being out on the river ways of America started setting in. I'm writing this a year later, and all I want to do is return to the simplicity of slowly drifting toward the gulf. I have a new shanty project just waiting for spring (the Beagle Barge, summer 2021)

Howdy fellow adventurers, I admit, I have a strange relationship with time. I honestly question whether it even exists truth be known. I've always been fascinated with people who never seem to feel the pressure of running out of it. on some level, I feel every minute passing by--and feel I'm wasting most of it.
I say all that to say: this "last hurrah" in the Northland, before the weather starts falling apart, is a kind of spiritual endeavor for me. I'm feeling the pull of a new home base, and I don't want to wonder what certain nooks and crannies of the last home base was like. This is what this adventure is all about. Do I have time? Not really? Do I have the funds? Also not really. Buy if not now...when? If not me...who? Plus, the beagle makes me do it one way or another. don't forget her treat link. stay tuned...

We made it to Alabama! He ha! White cliffs, bird life and friendly lock masters. I think this is one of the lesser appreciated episodes from this series. I might have gotten a little too "artsy" while trying to capture the mood, but hey...it was a long trip with only a beagle for company.
Thanks for watching!

I was able to catch up to him at the Myrtle Beach Motorcycle Rally spring 2019. I still didn't know much about making videos (yes I know the music is too loud and not needed) but it's still a popular interview. Thanks for watching, and thanks for putting up with me. --Back Roads Brenton
