This new series features products that I have actually tried and tested, not just unboxed and played with during filming. These products can vary from camera equipment, computer software, domestic appliances, etc.
This episode I am discussing the FEIYU-TECH G5 gimbal that broke and I had to send back. I really missed this product because when used on the scooter I could move the camera in any direction using the joystick (plus the extremely clever selfie button that turns to face you for as long as you hold the button so you can comment to camera). Compared to the Z1 it is smaller and the turning ability shine through.
It broke and was ultimately caused by the USB right angle cable snapping while in the camera. It made the motors overheat for at least 30 minutes until I noticed. The company eglobal central, based in Hong Kong with some sort of warehouse in the UK for quick distribution of products, did not agree despite the video, that there was anything wrong other than the USB cable which wasn't covered under warranty? I was not happy with this so I requested a refund under their 14 day money back guarantee but they wouldn't honour this because it wasn't "new". They also wouldn't replace because "there was no fault found".
By now I contacted Paypal who agreed with me, and eventually I got my refund in full. It didn't stop eglobal central from making an offer of £159 which I rejected.
I then searched for a new supplier and discovered the MIlton Keynes based UNMANNEDTECH. I ordered from them and within 2 days it was delivered.
