A short introduction to my videos on Anxiety and Healing childhood trauma, where you can find all the details! They're much longer, so I hope this gets you interested to go watch them. The gist is that by far it's childhood trauma that keeps us from reaching happiness. And all the meditation and non-attachment in the world isn't going to heal that, but what people like Pia Mellody and Peter Levine have come up with, does.

When I say extraordinary clarity, I only mean that I see very few people demonstrate it. Other than that, I think it's just the natural clarity that each one of us has when we're not afraid and when we're not confused by a lot of contradictory ideas we've been taught.
And for those who are indignant, hearing me criticize the Dalai Lama, thinking I'm attacking his character, that's not my intention. Here is an excerpt from NonViolent Communication, the book by Marshall Rosenberg, where he explains that there is another kind of judging that's not about who is right/wrong, but about how much what someone is doing contributes to Life. From chapter 6 "Observation Without Evaluation":
"I said earlier that we want to express what's alive in us, and at times this requires letting people know exactly what they're doing, that is either meeting our needs, or is not meeting our needs."
...
"Now I hope you don't hear from this that I'm suggesting we give up evaluating the other person. No, we need to judge people's behavior, we need to judge our behavior and others's continually about whether it's serving Life or not."
So my intention here, is to show why I think there are ways of contributing to everyone's happiness, that are more effective than what I see the Dalai Lama and his supporters doing.
