Norman Wildberger is a popular YouTuber with close to 120K subscribers. He loves to lambast mainstream academics but he has no alternative and his beliefs are identical to those of the mainstream. Don't be fooled by his Smoke and Mirrors videos. I have nothing against Wildberger except that he is a liar and a coward. He is also a well-known revisionist. The Plimpton clay tablet is unremarkable in every sense. It has nothing of interest and did not even come close to the sophistication of the Ancient Greeks whose clarity of thought and brilliance remains unmatched by any before or after them.
In the following old video, he and his colleague go to great lengths to sell revisionist snake oil:

I expose the rot of Wildberger's laughable "Rational Trigonometry":
https://www.academia.edu/110817968/Prof_Norman_Erraticus_Wildberger_the_anti_mainstream_Mainstream_Foil_Featuring_rational_trigonometry_and_Revisionism
Wildberger tried to sow a narrative along the lines that the Babylonians were anticipating his "rational trigonometry" based on exotic "new concepts" 'quadrance' and 'spread'. Above article explains all you need to know.
How the Greeks could have used trigonometric formula better than Newton's Sine and Cosine series:

Wildberger has no problems lambasting his colleagues, but somehow fails to see that he has the same fundamental approach to the number concept:

This is a response to a challenge by Python (aka jean pierre messager on saci.math) who claimed that the derivative definition in the mainstream calculus is not circular.
After watching this video, hopefully you will know that mainstream calculus was never rigorous.

Mainstream mathematics academics (lecturers and teachers) usually have extremely low IQs and suffer from the Dunning Kruger Effect.
One cannot convince a crank even in the face of overwhelming evidence.

In this video I give you a brief glimpse into the minds of the most brilliant humans in the history of humanity - the Ancient Greeks whose clarity of thought remains unmatched by any before or after them.
As a proud ancestor of these almost god-like humans, I reveal important knowledge never revealed or published before in the history of humanity.
Don't believe me! Study the books and scrutinize my claims as if your mathematical future depends upon this, because it does! I do know better than anyone else.

Definition 17.
Heath: There being several magnitudes, and other (magnitudes) of equal number to them (which are) also in the same ratio taken two by two, a ratio via equality (or ex aequali) occurs when as the first is to the last in the first (set of) magnitudes, so the first (is) to the last in the second (set of) magnitudes. Or alternately, (it is) a taking of the (ratio of the) outer (magnitudes) by the removal of the inner (magnitudes).
In other words, if p, q, r are the first set of magnitudes, and s, t, u the second set, and p : q : r :: s : t : u, then the ratio via equality (or ex aequali) corresponds to p : r :: s : u.
Correct definition:
A ratio ex aequali arises when, there being two ratios with an equal number of magnitudes (equal or greater than two magnitudes per ratio), then any two magnitudes from either ratio but in the same positions, will be proportionate to each other.
Example: 2 : 7 : 3 :: 4 : 14 : 6
2:3 :: 4:6; 3:7 :: 6:14; (7+3):12 :: (14+6):24; etc.
In fact, the definition also suggests that more than two magnitudes can be taken from each ratio as long as relative positions are preserved where certain arithmetic operations are concerned. For example:
(2+7+3) :12 :: (4+14+6):24, etc.
Definition 18.
Heath: There being three magnitudes, and other (magnitudes) of equal number to them, a perturbed proportion occurs when as the leading is to the following in the first (set of) magnitudes, so the leading (is) to the following in the second (set of) magnitudes, and as the following (is) to some other (i.e., the remaining magnitude) in the first (set of) magnitudes, so some other (is) to the leading in the second (set of) magnitudes.
