Ok people Samsung's XP941 is awesome! I have seen a few others benchmark M.2 SSD's and not get anywhere near these speeds. If you are in the market for an M.2 SSD take a look at the PCI-e versions, they are not bound by the SATAIII 6gb/s cap. Of course you'll have to make sure your port supports the M.2 pci-e but you'll thank me when you get boot times so fast you don't have time to pick your nose. Also it is worth a mention that samsung xp941 m.2 and other SSDs like this scale in performance with respect to capacity. Cheers!
In this video I teach you how to set up audio sources, use Xsplit's built in audio mixer, go over the audio effects dialogue, as well as provide a critical tip on preventing audio sync issues. All of this is within the context of live streaming. This is lesson 2 in a series of Xsplit tutorial videos. I have been a live streamer for a number of years and these techniques have served me well. When I first started I looked for the best livestreaming software. I chose Xsplit because it is, in comparison to other leading contenders, very easy to use and has excellent support. So follow along with me for practical training in Xsplit Broadcaster.

After playing with the steam controller for a while, I’ve found it to not only be an excellent alternative to one of my favorite controllers of all time, the Xbox 360 controller, but also as an alternative to keyboard and mouse PC gaming. Now I can say that there simply isn’t enough functionality at face value to replace the massive key combination you get from a keyboard, the Steam Controller does provide a great deal more control over the gaming experience than any other controller on the market today. The Steam Controller is an interesting blend of technology with its built in gyro, dual trackpads (rather than dual analogue sticks) and dual stage triggers. Although the features I just mentioned are the highlights, because the controller was designed with PC gamers in mind, everything about it is customizable. In this video I play a few rounds of Doom and one run at Final Fantasy X-2 Remaster to do a high level evaluation of the Steam Controller. In the following videos I’ll do a more straight forward feature comparison of the Steam Controller vs Xbox 360 Controller vs keyboard and mouse.
Sorry about the gaming recording, I accidentally used my streaming configuration to record with... :/

The Turtle Beach Atlas One wired gaming headset pack a ton of style and IMO are one of the more comfortable headsets out there. They are comfortable for a number of reasons but mainly because they are incredibly light and the earpieces swivel and tilt in just the right way to make them adjustable for nearly anyone and then there is the super soft leather and foam that are quite cushy. So these are defiantly winners in that department but how do they sound? What does the mic sound like? Is the mic any good? In this video I will answer all those questions up to and including a mic test. I do a little jibber jabbering and then play a short round of my favorite game to give you an idea of what comes out of it's microphone. This is the first set of Turtle Beach gaming headset I've reviewed and I can say that I was impressed by how comfortable they were but they did fall short on the audio quality of both the headphones and the mic. However, this is their entry level headset so I am now left with the question what happens when we go up a tier or two? Will they meet the competition in quality or even surpass them? Who knows. Will we ever find out? Well, to find that out you'll just have to stay tuned to the channel and look for some more Turtle Beach content. Game Strong! PEACE!

Yoostar has produced the most viable contender to the Elgato Green Screen to date! The little known company has produced a collapsible green screen that is easy to set up and store when not in use. I have traditionally used a giant 12x15 green screen that while accomplished its function, left a lot to be desired. I was constantly trying to make sure there were no wrinkles in the fabric, or no light behind me, or because it was so wide I might even have to move furniture to set it up. Well, I took a chance on this green screen from YooStar and I can say that it does not disappoint. No, it doesn’t quite rise to the ease of the Elgato green screen but it does come close and does so at a cost that is 80% less. It is indeed very stable and is made from quality materials that I can tell will last through its useful life. If I were to point out anything to improve upon I would say slightly thicker material letting through less light would be a good upgrade option, but for 30 dollars this is the best portable green screen option available hands down.

Some time ago I upgraded my home mouse from the Logitech Performance Mouse MX to the Logitech MX Master and took the Performance Mouse MX to work to serve me as a professional tool for the rest of its days. What I found was that I spend a lot of time on the computer…. At home the majority of that time is spent playing PC games. This means that I put my mice through a heavy workload. And its not just that I use a mouse all the time, it’s that I game with a mouse. So rather than subject my MX Master to brutal game time filled with heavy handed clicks galore, I figured I should probably get a mouse that was designed for gaming. That conclusion brought me to the Logitech G602 gaming mouse. I went with the G602 over the slew of other mice for a select few reasons, the most important being that it has ergonomics that are a close match to the MX Master.
Don’t get me wrong they are very different mice with very different weights, drag profile, and overall feel. However, they are as close as a match as I think I could get and I am of the mind that your training tool should be a match or at least as close as possible to the tool you use to do your business. So in this video I walk you through what the similarities are between the MX Master vs G602, their differences and features that set them apart from the pack.

I was surprised to see the GTX 1080 fall below 60fps on this FurMark test. Although the low FPS was not a pleasant surprise, I was pleased to see the GTX 1080 at full speed and its very low power consumption. In this test we saw very good scaling when going to Sli with power consumption that was about 20% less than the gain in performance. I know OpenGL is on the way out in favor of Vulkan or other 3D APIs, but there are plenty of existing game titles and software that use it and will have more titles to come use it too. As you have seen here, even the mighty GTX 1080 can be brought to its knees with low FPS by little old FurMark and 8xMSAA.
Thanks for watching!

What to do with a dying EVO 840 SSD? Migrate to a new SSD before it completely fails of course. I’ve had this EVO 840 for about as long as they have been out and it has finally shown me the signs that its time to say goodbye.. So before the root disk of my current build completely fails on me I went out to find a replacement for it and pick up this CS1311 from PNY. Both drives are sporting TLC Nand technology so the performance difference should be so little that I won’t notice and the PNY is twice as large weighing in at 480GB. So this SSD clone and migration is an upgrade for the build as well as much needed maintenance. To make the transfer as easy as possible I use the Acronis True Image software license that came with the PNY SSD. Acronis makes imaging and cloning to new drives so easy that even a non-tech head could do it. It even makes moving to larger SSDs easy too. As a side note, any time you move to a larger SSD I recommend that you make a backup of important personal files before the transfer.

Out of the countless hours of PUBG I have on the book I have never done a highlights reel. Well, there is a first time for everything. I didn't exactly have the time to go through and find my best games but these I cut up for this video were a lot of fun. Besides not having the time... It's not just that there are a lot of games to go through, there are a lot of bad games to go through.. :)
Thanks to all of you who tune in to say high when I'm streaming. You guys are the best!
