Sometime in late 2017 I decided to embark on a nomadic way of life; to travel and experience the world in a different way, to share magic and fufilll a personal journey.
What was my journey? From England to Hong Kong overland, with hitchhiking as my primary mode of movement. With nothing but a 15l backpack and £50 in my pocket, the route I traversed was as follows: UK (flying into) - Norway (Hornsjø Mountain) - Sweden - Denmark (Magleby) - Germany (Berlin) - Czech Republic (Prague) - Austria (Vienna) - Croatia (Zagreb) - Serbia (Belgrade) - Bulgaria (Sofia) - Turkey (Istanbul, Ankara) - (flying into) Hong Kong.
Whilst on this journey I had sustained myself by working, volunteering, wild camping and couchsurfing wherever I could. Many skills were gained in the form of serving as a Barista, Hotel/Hostel Staff, Bartender, Kitchen worker, Waiter and even as a Cleaner. These videos are what I documented whilst in this journey. Shot on my Sony Xperia Z1 phone.

This specific video was captured during my time working at The Ruthensteiner Hostel, the entire experience detailed in my audio reflection of my nomadic journey.
This is my rendition of Rene Lavand's composition entitled "Duel Of The West", which saw the light of day once more at a special performance for my family at The Pizza LAB in Leipzig, Germany.
It's my favourite storytelling piece and has been with me for almost a decade.

This video captures the lonesome road. You need a bullet proof mind and diamond indestructible soul to traverse those roads.
So during April of 2019 I got the opportunity to travel with my mentor and friend Michael Vincent to South America, as he was invited to showcase and teach his brand of "Elegant Deceptions" to the Fraternity over there. We even got to visit the house of our late hero Rene Lavand, whilst meeting Nora (Rene's Wife) and Fosco (Rene's most beloved student). Now that was something special!
This video was shot during his final performance and lecture at Mr Henry Evan's beautiful establishment (thank you Mr Evans for inviting us!). The video itself begins with Michael's opening speech, then cuts to the dialogue at the end of the night.
I saw first hand how the Art is being kept alive by the Latin American Magicians over in Bueno Aires (with thanks to silent heroes such as Pablo Zanatta, Roberto Mansilla, Guillermo, Ariel, Maripin, Vernet). Even though they do not have as much exposure as compared to the immediate Western Hemisphere of the Magic Fraternity, the Latin style of magic is a force to be reckoned with. They are not only a worthy contender as compared to the American Style or European Style of Magic, but they have been pioneers all along.
Things I mention in this video:
Cahlen’s “Permissionless Money”- https://odysee.com/@Cahlen:0/CahlenLee_20210626_PermissionlessMoney:0

To me the shuffling of a pack of cards bares many similarities to that of life. Just my way of seeing things within this perpetual shuffling of life...my way of finding myself within the chaos of life.

This is a piece of voice over work I did for my friends over at INVISIBLE PRACTICE, with one of their short essays entitled “Simplicity”. Check out their IG here:
