Carolyn Burjoski, a former teacher in the Waterloo Region District School Board, spoke out during a public meeting in January 2022 about the age-inappropriateness of books in the elementary school libraries. She was kicked out of the meeting and silenced.
The Justice Centre has been defending Ms. Burjoski and her Charter right to freedom of expression since then. A hearing date has been set for the week of June 5th, 2023.
