Sermon by Matt Trewhella on 11/7/2010
If you live in a climate where the winters are long and harsh, it does not mean that you have to close up shop and not continue to proclaim the Gospel and Word of Christ. There are ways to do indoor evangelism. This sermon is instructive from Scripture and exhortational in nature.

The false-love gospel first cut the gospel message in half by only talking about “love” and “believe” and refusing to talk about “sin”, “repentance”, or “guilt before God.” Now they have decided NO words should be used. Their latest motto being – “Preach the gospel always, use words IF necessary.”
Truth is, when you remove the gospel message or cut it in half, the result is false converts which establish false churches. When the false-love gospel first came on the scene about 20 years ago, it was condemned by churchmen everywhere. Now it is the prevalent form of Christianity in America. In this sermon, Pastor Matt shows how UN-biblical the false-love gospel is by looking at Scripture itself.

"To the people, all religions were equally true; to the philosophers, all religions were equally false; and to the politicians, all religions were equally useful." -Edward Gibbons, The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire.
This sermon points out that it is the nature of the State to always use religion for its own ends. Most States use religion to homogenize, utilize, and manipulate the people. Even those States which are atheistic still find religion useful. There are always those in religion who are willing to accommodate the State's designs in using religion.
