I was filming the fire and of course a helicopter had to fly all over the place creating an interesting effect. You never know what you are going to get when you are taking photos or video of the night sky.
Bryce canyon is a great location to take dark sky photos because it has so little light pollution. When out taking photos I saw one of the largest fire-ball type shooting stars I have ever seen. Of course my camera was facing the wrong direction and I wasnt able to capture it. Its a memory that will stay with me forever, reminding me how amazing our cosmos is.
Here is another edit of the Milky Way panoramic photo I shared the other day.

I have been meaning to get a lens good enough to do some stacked photos of the moon and I think I found one that should do the trick. Its a used lens, but everything seems to work fine and should be suitable for the projects I want to use it for. I ended up using only 20 of the 400+ photos I took of the moon for this stacked photo because of some user error on my side of things. This was one of the edits to bring out some color in the moon and give it a more epic appearance.
Stopped to get a shot next to the hiking trail, but no one is hiking at this time of night. Just a silly photographer and wild animals roam the desert at this hour.
