Hi all, We wanted to give our listeners and Retro Community something a little special in time for Christmas. So we put together a Retro Asylum calendar for all those who love their retro gaming.
Now I haven't had too much experience using printing services before, so I used Lulu.com. I have given the link to the print out you saw. As said in the video, we make no money from the print out from Lulu.. its just the cost of what they charge to print and send it...
Anyway we hope you enjoy it... See it as a early Christmas present to our fantastic Retro Asylum listeners and Retro Community at large. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDV6Mljm-0U

The first in a possible series. Dean Swain takes a look at this forgotten gem back from 1984. Imagine if in Tempest, the tubes moved instead of the ship. Then you'd have Tube Panic from Nichibutsu/Fujitek from 1984.

This was a Video Game History series I did a few years ago, before joining the Retro Asylum crew. As there has been a number of requests to bring it across to Retro Asylum.. that is what I have done. So sit back and enjoy. I really do believe it is still one of the most comprehensive video game histories around.

Did you know that taking the crate onto mission 2 in Double Dragon 2 causes the colour palette of the crate to change as the game isn’t expecting this weapon to go beyond mission 1. The same thing happens in the original game when you take the box beyond mission 2. #arcade #arcadegaming #arcadegames #DoubleDragon #retrogaming

Video Gaming had hit the big time. But it still needed a gaming hero mascot to symbolise video gaming. Thankfully in 1980 such a character would step forward with Pac-Man.
