Proof of Aerial and Ground Predators Near the Chickens
From August 2023... over the course of two days, we had a falcon decide to build a nest in the neighbors yard and a skunk wandering around in the wood pile. I didn't get a video of the skunk because I as too busy trying to verify it was a skunk... which it was! Wish I recorded it now. A few days later it appeared that the falcon gave up on the nest and I'm assuming it was due to the crows living in the area... they don't like hawks or falcons of any sort.

It's pretty hot today and Parkour Chick decided to lay her egg in the heat of the day. Luckily, I was able to record right as she finally laid the egg! I review my coop set up for the hot months and Trinity decides to interrupt me. Also, it seems they like the store-bought spaghetti squash better than mine from the garden. Crazy chicks!

The hyacinth came up in the yard and I tried to sniff all the smell out of them as quick as possible. They don't really last long enough for me! We were spending a nice quiet time in the yard when suddenly... HAIL! The chickens didn't like it very much. The cherry blossoms are just starting and will only last a couple weeks so I tried to enjoy that as much as possible as well. Phoenix dropped the first egg since her vet visit and it wasn't good. Now we are living day-by-day.
