FPV VLOG: Finding new locations, flying, crashing and having fun
What a glorious way to spend a Monday morning. Off I hiked with my ZMR 250 into the woods to find some new sites and try flying them.
The sun came out, the birds tweeted, and aside from the odd scramble through thorny bushes to recover the quad from a crash or 3 I couldn't think of a nicer way to spend a few hours.
I thought I'd try something a bit different today than simply just the flight footage, so I'm tried to capture my thoughts about these areas and what my concerns/interests were as I saw them. So please let me know if you like/dislike this sort of style. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMos-aCaQpE
I really liked the Nazgul5. It was inexpensive, the build was engineered really well and it flew superbly. So I'm back today to see how it holds up as a camera ship using iFlights own camera mount. Whilst I'm at it, we had some static on the 25mw setting of the VTX so lets see if an FPV antenna replacement helps.
The Nazgul was supplied by Banggood, so if you want to check it out please use this (affiliate) link https://www.banggood.com/IFlight-Nazgul5-227mm-4S-5-Inch-FPV-Racing-Drone-BNFPNP-SucceX-E-F4-Caddx-Ratel-Camera-45A-BLheli_S-ESC-2207-2750KV-Motor-p-1529741.html?p=E81211714085201408XQ&utm_source=Youtube&utm_medium=cussku&utm_content=tanghao&utm_campaign=wayne

After blowing up all my other cameras, I saw this on Banggood and it seemed to have a nice spec and was cheap, so I bought one to try it out.
I bought this from banggood (affiate link) -http://www.banggood.com/Hawkeye-Firefly-Q6-4K-1080P-24FPS-HD-Mini-Camera-for-FPV-Racer-p-1051978.html?p=E81211714085201408XQ
One detail I thought might be of interest to people and I forgot to mention was the fact that if the recording file goes over 4GB (which is about 15m 18s at 1080p60) it goes onto a new file (much like a GoPro will)
EDIT: As the compression is so bad on YouTube (grass seems to be it's nemesis) here's the raw first flight uploaded to my google drive https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bx4Kxq_aa6O4Nm1Fa3kxRzJweG8

At a recent meet the 3 of us with Hornets attempted to take each other out mid-air.
Usually mid-airs happen at least once in a meet, and usually by accident... unless iPeel is involved as he's a complete menace. It's really hard to hit another fast moving wing on purpose though.
The Hornet wing is made by flyingwings.co.uk it's a nice easy build and fun to fly - but it really does prefer a calm day

It's no secret that the Caddx Ratel is (IMO) the best FPV camera you can use - I love it. The Baby Ratel is a smaller 14mm/19mm version of it, but will it pe...

In this subscenario, which is available only in Restless Dreams version of the game (in Europe also known as Director's Cut) we take a role of Maria, the girl that looked very similar to Mary, which James encountered in main game.
In this scenario, she goes through the old haunted Baldwin mansion and encounters a misterious character who doesn't want anyone to see him... This scenario explains some secrets about Maria, how did she appeared in Silent Hill, and some other bits from a main game.
More information about this, and other endings is available from http://www.game-endings.co.uk

This an an update of some changes I made to my setup in order to make the Goodluckbuy gimbal work well with my f450 and GoPro 2.
When I mumble on in my voiceovers, I sometimes forget some extra details. So the order I did things (not including blowing things up and repairing motor connections) were unscrew the arm, flip it over, reconnect. You may need to reposition the gyro sensor at this point. If you want to use the strap to keep your GoPro in place, then I used a little 3d printed part, but you could also hacksaw or dremel the pre-exisiting cuts further up.
You may also need to adjust the gimbal via the software. I just needed to tell the gimbal that the gyro had changed which way was up. The only important thing to note about the software is that these boards are clones of Alex Moss controllers, so the official software and firmware updates won't work with them, so you have to search for the "nulled" versions of the software

This Eachine camera does seem a Ratel wannabe. It supposed to have excellent low light capabilities as well as looking almost identical. Let's install it on a quad and see.

Same part of Botley Woods as the last biking video, this time with the Muvi velcro'd on to my frame..it did stay put very well, but I've only got the vaguest clue of where it's facing... which in this case is a little bit to far into the wheel.
However, much steadier footage this way. I must try this hill without full suspension just to see if I can stay on.
