Two years ago, Garfield Logan was dying in a makeshift hospital until he is injected with green liquid by an unknown figure. In the present, Rachel bumps into Gar, whom she met previously at an arcade while on the run with Kory, who is in his tiger form. Rachel stumbles across two hunters which she attacks but are unphased. Gar appears who frightens the hunters due to his tiger form. Meanwhile, Dick and Kory find the covent in ruins. The Nun keeps repeating that Rachel cannot be stopped which worries Dick, so he and Kory make their way to the nearest police station where the hunters give a description to Dick, resembling Rachel. Kory and Dick investigate the hunters. Gar takes Rachel to his house where she meets Cliff Steel / Robtman, and Larry Trainor / Negative Man. The four have dinner which Rita Farr / Elastic Girl attends. The dinner is interrupted when Neils Caulder / Chief brings in a patient who was doused with liquid nitrogen. The group is unable to save the patient but Rachel is able to calm the body's reaction for Neils' serum. Despite this, Neils becomes furious with Gar for bringing Rachel to their home. After, Neils attempts to help Rachel but she attacks him when her dark self-reacts by attacking him. Dick rushes in the house and calms Rachel down by promising her he will protect her.
