I watched this video this morning and it said that the IRS could not keep it simple stupid ! If you owe NO tax liability or if you are on Social Security or Social Security Disability, they still require you to file a return. Then you also have to file a state income tax return as well. And if you try to call the Franchise Tax Board here, you get a recording that says that they are on limited staffing & after you push all their buttons, it tells you that their automated system is unable to answer your questions, that the office is CLOSED even though it just told you people are there to answer the phone. Social Security is just as bad almost. They take 2 hours to answer the phone though they will return a call. This is how governments get overthrown because people can't take it anymore.
