And so the journey begins. Recently I have started a blind playthrough of this amazing puzzle game called "Gorogoa" and I plan to finish it and post every part on my channel. I hope you'll enjoy it. It takes me months, sometimes years, to find a game that even looks remotely suitable enough for me to try it. I no longer consider myself to be a player of games, even if I'm always vaguely interested in the titles that come out. The following three games are my favourites. I consider them life experiences that I won't soon forget. • Gorogoa's seriousness and its aesthetic • The Longing's atmosphere and uniqueness • The Lion's Song's emphasis on character Most games I see on various platforms just feel like games to me, and that's not what I'm after. I primarily enjoy games that feel like art pieces, most often 2D. I don't like the vast majority of 3D games because they feel artificial and, truthfully, they remind me of "gamer culture". There's just something about the appearance and construction of modern AAA games that puts me off. The only sorts of 3D games I can stomach are classic RPGs like World of Warcraft, which, yes, is rather different from the games I mentioned above, but I suppose including WoW helps because it puts the focus on myth and nature. I grew up with classic WoW, so it's very much another important game for me. Another crucial criterion I should mention is that the game should have as few "mechanics" as possible. I simply don't care about gameplay. If I need to press X lots of times to kill an enemy, I'm not interested. The gameplay should feel seamless, simple and integrated. I feel apprehensive about playing games because I don't want to spend even more time staring at a screen than I already do, so you have your work cut out for you, I reckon. Thanks for reading. Edit: In many ways Gorogoa is perfect as it's a lightweight puzzle game and yet the puzzles aren't overly complicated and it doesn't feel like a chore to play. There's also enough story and intrigue to make it feel more than just a trifle. The art style is also perfect for me, though I wouldn't mind something darker. It contains elements of literature, myth and history. Simply put, it's probably the best game I've ever played. I might add Limbo, but then this gives the impression I want to play action-oriented platformers. I simply appreciate the aesthetic and meaning behind that game.
