Deutsche Nationalhymne [German anthem][instrumental]
The German national anthem consists since 1991 of the third stanza of the song of the Germans by August Heinrich Hoffmann of Fallersleben. The melody comes from the imperial song by Joseph Haydn, composed in 1796/97.
The picture in the background comes from one of my nice subscribers, and he wanted me to add some background info:

Refrain:
Adieu, mein kleiner Gardeoffizier,
adieu, adieu und vergiss mich nicht! Und vergiss mich nicht!
Adieu, mein kleiner Gardeoffizier, adieu
Adieu, sei das Glück mit dir! Sei das Glück mit dir!
Steh' gerade, Kerzengrade, lache in den Sonnentag,
was immer geschehen auch mag!
erstaunte Blicke ihn trafen,
er sagte: Liebling, ich muss geh'n!
Da sagt sie noch ganz verschlafen:
Refrain
Und eines Tage war alles aus,
es ruhten endlich die Waffen,
man shcickte alle Soldaten nach Haus,
einen neuen Beruf sich zu schaffen.
Die alte Garde stand müd' und bleich
Um ihren Marschall im Kreise,
man blies den letzten Zapfenstreich
und der Marschall sagte leise:
Refrain

Unser liebe Fraue
vom kalten Bronnen,
Bescher uns armen Landsknecht
ein´ warme Sonnen!
Daß wir nit erfrieren,
gehn in des Wirtes Haus
wir ein mit vollem Säckel,
mit leerem wieder aus.
Die Drummen, die Drummen,
Lärman, lärman, lärman,
heiridiridiran, ridiran
Ride Landsknecht voran.
Unser liebe Fraue
vom kalten Bronnen,
bescher’ uns armen Landsknecht
ein’ warme Sonnen!
Daß wir nit erfrieren,
iieh’n wir dem Bauermann
das wullen Hemd vom Leibe,
das steht ihm übel an.
Die Drummen, die Drummen…
Wir schlucken Staub beim Wandern
der Säckel hängt uns hohl
der Kaiser schluckt ganz Flandern
bekomm’s ihm ewig wohl
Er denkt beim Länderschmause
wie er die Welt erwürb
mir wohnt ein Lieb zu Hause
das weinte, wenn ich stürb
Die Drummen, die Drummen…
Trommler schlägt Parade,
die seid’nen Fahnen weh’n,
jetzt heißt’s auf Glück und Gnade
ins Feld marschieren geh’n.
Korn reift auf den Feldern,
es schnappt der Hecht im Strom,
heiß weht der Wind von Geldern,
herauf gen Berg op Zoom
Die Drummen, die Drummen…
Unser liebe Fraue
vom kalten Bronnen,
bescher’ uns armen Landsknecht
ein’ warme Sonnen!
Daß wir endlich finden
von aller Arbeit Ruh!
Der Teufel hol das Saufen,
das Rauben auch dazu.
Die Drummen, die Drummen…

Ännchen von Tharau is a 17-stanza poem by the Prussian poet Simon Dach. The namesake of the poem is Anna Neander, the daughter of a parson from Tharau, East Prussia (now known as Vladimirovo in the Kaliningrad Oblast of Russia). The poem was written on the occasion of her marriage in 1636 and had been set to music as a song by 1642.

Lebtest da, wo man die Sonne kaum kennt;
Ännchen von Tharau, das wolln wir nicht tun;

A little information before you read the info:
The Lied der Deutschen is not forbidden, neither the first nor any other verse of it!!! It´s a myth many people believe in. The part:
"Deutschland über alles" doesn´t mean that Germany stands above other nations, you have to see it in the context of the time in 1841.
Germany wasn´t an united nation, but a collection of many states and an united fatherland was meant to be above any other political goal of that time. If you continue to listen to the next lines you will see, the author doesn´t want war, violence or superiority against other nations. He demands noble deeds, to be proud of the own culture, women and freedom etc.
To me it is a lovely song and I wished all 3 verses would be sung.
The "Deutschlandlied" (English: "Song of Germany", German pronunciation: [ˈdɔʏtʃlantˌliːt]; also known as "Das Lied der Deutschen", or "The Song of the Germans"), or part of it, has been the national anthem of Germany since 1922, except in East Germany, whose anthem was "Auferstanden aus Ruinen" ("Risen from Ruins") from 1949 to 1990.
Since World War II and the fall of Nazi Germany, only the third stanza has been used as the national anthem. The stanza's beginning, "Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit" ("Unity and Justice and Freedom") is considered the unofficial national motto of Germany, and is inscribed on modern German Army belt buckles and the rims of some German coins.
The music is the hymn "Gott erhalte Franz den Kaiser", written in 1797 by the Austrian composer Joseph Haydn as an anthem for the birthday of Francis II, Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire and later of Austria. In 1841, the German linguist and poet August Heinrich Hoffmann von Fallersleben wrote the lyrics of "Das Lied der Deutschen" as a new text for that music, counterposing the national unification of Germany to the eulogy of a monarch, lyrics that were considered revolutionary at the time.
The song is also well known by the beginning and refrain of the first stanza, "Deutschland, Deutschland über alles" ("Germany, Germany above all else"), but this has never been its title. The line "Germany, Germany above all else" meant that the most important goal of 19th-century German liberal revolutionaries should be a unified Germany which would overcome loyalties to the local kingdoms, principalities, duchies and palatines (Kleinstaaterei) of then-fragmented Germany. Along with the flag of Germany, it was one of the symbols of the March Revolution of 1848.
In order to endorse its republican and liberal tradition, the song was chosen as the national anthem of Germany in 1922, during the Weimar Republic. West Germany adopted the "Deutschlandlied" as its official national anthem in 1952 for similar reasons, with only the third stanza sun

Als wär' es ein adlig Geschlecht;

Doch zwei kleine Italiener
Möchten gern zu Hause sein.
Zwei kleine Italiener,
Die träumen von Napoli;
Von Tina und Marina:
Die warten schon lang auf sie.
Zwei kleine Italiener,
Die sind so allein.
Eine Reise in den Süden
Ist für andre schick und fein,
Doch die beiden Italiener
Möchten gern zu Hause sein.
O Tina, o Marina!
Wenn wir uns einmal wiederseh'n!
O Tina, o Marina!
Dann wird es wieder schön!
Zwei kleine Italiener
Vergessen die Heimat nie:
Die Palmen und die Mädchen
Am Strande von Napoli.
Zwei kleine Italiener,
Die sehen es ein:
Eine Reise in den Süden
Ist für andre schick und fein,
Doch die beiden Italiener
Möchten gern zu Hause sein.
O Tina, o Marina!
Wenn wir uns einmal wiederseh'n!
O Tina, o Marina!
Dann wird es wieder schön!
Zwei kleine Italiener
Am Bahnhof, da kennt man sie.
Sie kommen jeden Abend
Zum D-Zug nach Napoli.
Zwei kleine Italiener,
Die schau'n hinterdrein.
Eine Reise in den Süden
Ist für andre schick und fein,
Doch die beiden Italiener
Möchten gern zu Hause sein.
O Tina, o Marina!
Wenn wir uns einmal wiederseh'n!
O Tina, o Marina!
Dann wird es wieder schön!
