In this video I test the electrical and thermal changes due to the beta firmware for the Raspberry Pi 4's USB3 Controller which was released recently. This is part 1 of a multi-part series on the Raspberry Pi 4. More in-depth testing will be done in this video series for the Pi4 and comparison testing with the Pi3. Leave a comment for what you'd like to see!
The beta firmware reduces power consumption of the Pi 4 between 8% to 12% in the testing shown in this video. It also reduces the heat generated in total by the Pi 4 which adds around 25% more full CPU load time before it starts to thermal throttle. I don't recommend installing this firmware unless you are comfortable testing buggy beta firmware.
You can also see in the video that the power utilization increases as the temperature of the Pi4's CPU (and board) increases. I will discuss this in the next video when I compare the Pi4 to the Pi3.

Everything seen and used in the video was bought with my own money. Looking forward to making a full review video for the EEVblog 121GW Multimeter.

Showing the new multiplayer feature on the ODROID-GO Advance that uses streaming over WiFi just like Stadia or GeForce NOW. This new official alpha firmware is really awesome and I can't wait to see what else comes from its development.

In this video I add Qi Wireless Changing to the ODROID-GO. This modification allows me to charge the GO on any standard cell phone wireless charging pad that is Qi compliant (most are). The charging pad in the video is the Samsung Qi Fast Charger 2018. The Qi module I added to the ODROID-GO is from Adafruit and the link is below. I was originally inspired by a video ETA PRIME made to add wireless charging to one of his gaming devices.
This video was originally over an hour long but I decided watching me build stuff was boring so I fast-forwarded a lot of it. If you have any questions about the process or tools I used, please ask in the comments section or on Twitter. Do not attempt this without reading the GO's schematic and doing your own research. You can damage the Qi module, your GO, or both if you get something wrong.

Highlighting the latest firmware release, I show you all the new features and give some advice. The most noticeable features in this release are the new ROM art and resume/restart menu.

This is NOT a review! I am simply answering some of the common questions out there. The software is still in beta and being worked on by several developers including some work by me. I will be doing a full review once things are ready.
This video shows the quality of the display (as best I can) and some PSP gameplay. This video is not my best work since I didn't have a lot of time for it.

Just a quick video to show off my new studio light and an open source program I wrote for the Arduino platform. I also went with different music this time so hopefully this is a lot less creepy then my last video. :)

The ODROID-GO can now play MSX games! The MSX platform was very popular in Japan so a lot of the games are only in Japanese. It is still a fun addition to the list of emulators for the ODROID-GO. Many thanks to Jan P. Schümann for this excellent port!

Just a quick video to say I am still here and will be making more videos soon. I know you guys need a new upgrade tutorial for the ODROID-GO that includes MacOS along with the new method on Windows. I also have a lot of other things to share with everyone and I mentioned some of them in this video.
If you like my videos so far, stick around for more! :)

This is a complete step by step guide to upgrade the firmware on your ODROID-GO. The latest firmware includes the new ColecoVision emulator and improved Sega emulation along with the ability to easily flash other applications like DOOM. This process doesn't require flashing any previous firmware versions.
I am not responsible if you damage your ODROID-GO by following this guide.
Reminder: The new ColecoVision emulator does also require a BIOS.col file (named exactly like that) in the MicroSD card's \roms\col folder. You can likely find the ColecoVision BIOS on the same site you found your ROMs.

After making this video I have a whole new respect for people that do YouTube professionally. This was a lot of work! You may notice this is edited together from two separate days. This is due to newer firmware that came out since I first made the upgrade tutorial.
