Unicorn Myths & Mythology
Unicorn myths & mythology from around the world mixed was some fun facts you probably didn't know.

Unicorn Eggs
Are you one of those people who love unicorns and have all kinds of products with images of them? I bet you've always dreamed of having or at least seeing one. Luckily, now you can be the proud owner of a unicorn egg.

Best of all? You just need to cover the egg with a lot of water and you're done! You will have your own unicorn. Unfortunately this is only a toy, so you won't be able to ride it and show it off to your friends. However, if you really love these mythological animals, you will surely enjoy them as if they were real ones.

Orongo
The most incredible thing about ancient history is that many people were greatly surprised by discoveries that for us can be silly or easy to explain, and created multiple theories or exaggerated descriptions to explain what their eyes saw.

This may be the case with the orongo, an animal that originated in Tibet and may have one or two horns on its head. For a soldier in 1820 this animal was the irrefutable proof that unicorns existed, so he declared in a magazine that he had finally found one in Tibet. Although it is not clear, some people claim that the horn of the orongos could predict the future. It sounds a little crazy.

Legends of the Horn of the Unicorn
Animal horns are protrusions composed of the same materials as bones and although they sometimes have special uses for human life, they are usually only useful for the animals that have them. However, legends argue that the horn of unicorns is much more special.

Among the most common stories is that these horns could purify water, heal the sick and fight dangerous viruses or poisons. Although there is no concrete evidence of the benefits of unicorn horn, in the 1980s the United States registered a patent for a surgical procedure to create unicorns, which involved transplanting the sprouts of a goat to create a single horn on its head. A very strange way to recreate this mystical animal without a doubt.

Sleipnir
The most powerful gods of the ancients, used to have an animal companion with spectacular powers, allowing them to be more powerful or to move more easily through the mortal realm. In the case of Odin, god of the Nordic mythology and father of Thor this animal was known as Sleipnir.

Several stories and objects discovered over the years describe him as an eight-legged horse, but without horns. Although technically it is not a unicorn, the myth varies according to the region where it is told, so some claim that it had only one horn on its head. Just imagine, Sleipnir was practically two horses in one, so he was probably faster than any other horse.
