Don't be a leech, don't guilt co-workers with your kids that you really need to feed being a student-worker deadweight, don't bother random people you meet with your issues. "Be a man" has never applied so well here.
Nobody cares for your hundred failures or that one time you succeeded but didn't make anything out of it. Constant successes, albeit unimpressive, count for more than flash-in-the-pan affairs.
Giving yourself a label and being so are far from the same. This goes for every single individual and group out there, and they're all capable of deceit. Don't withhold judgement over anyone or anything at anytime. Judge what they do and what they say and who they are against.
There's only people who invest in something and people who don't. Feeding your ego with self-amazement is as pitiable as resenting someone for becoming adroit at something.
Rushing in guns blazing can cause more guns to fire back at you sooner or later. Figuratively or literally. Be clever and use the guns blazing approach as the final resort, not the first, last and only method. But stick to your metaphorical guns and be solid.
