Godot 4.0 Action Adventure Game, Work in Progress #2
I just got the body switching ability working and also the health system is set up. (Mind the bugs :/)
This is running a Xeon E3-1275 v1 and RX460 2GB with Godot 4.0 pulled and compiled sometime the day I'm uploading this. I usually get ~70 FPS with SDFGI, Volumetric Fog, and most of the other graphics features enabled in this test scene, so if your in the camp of saying Godot can't do 3D, well... uhh look.
The song is Disconnect by Kloud, I thought it fit well. :3

I'll try to narrate the next video, but for now we have this:
0:00 - I'm fixing some constraints with the rig, and was trying to figure out why I put some constraints where I did.
0:22 - I fixed some issues with the armor going through the main mesh.
0:47 - I got rid of the old eyes so I could do something I saw in a tutorial.
1:19 - I opened up Inkscape to make the textures for the new eyes
2:33 - I tried to use tiled clones like the tutorial said, but that didn't work. :p
3:51 - I duplicated the lines by hand.
4:35 - UV mapping the texture begins
5:24 - I start making a fancy material for the eyes.

This is gameplay of a third person shooter & platformer game I've been working on for the past few months. I'm going to start working on story stuff soon, and I wanted to document the progress I've made so far a bit better than the occasional post in a random Discord server. I need to rewrite the AI, but I wanted something functional-ish just to test and build levels with.
This is in Godot 3.2 if you're curious. And yes that's KDE with i3... and yes my monitor is 14 years old.
