Technology is being put to work making affordable concrete houses thanks to a cutting-edge 3D printer called “the Vulcan.” There are a variety of 3D printing methods used at construction scale, these include the following main methods: extrusion, powder bonding and additive welding.
3D printing at a construction scale will have a wide variety of applications within the private, commercial, industrial and public sectors. For most, this would manifest in small changes to their aesthetic, but Flecha has taken his passion to the extreme, determinedly making changes to his body for his ultimate goal - to look like a deadly creature. He told Truly: “My interest to adopt a more demon look is based on my personal taste, my passion for terror, for tattoos, the gothic world.” Flecha got his first tattoo aged 15, he has now lost count of the overall number of inks he’s had, instead, he calls it “one enormous tattoo.” He eventually wants to cover himself with a full-body suit, to achieve an otherworldly look. His other body modifications include a split tongue, tattooed black eyes and pointed ears. Flecha has an extensive collection of “freaky” objects, which he keeps at home and his tattoo studio, everything from scary masks to animal skulls. He even keeps some of his own body parts which he has removed, such as his belly button and nipples. At first, his family found his transformation difficult to accept. Flecha explained: “My mother when she saw that I was proceeding with the tattoos, every time more and more, she told me: ‘Please, tattoo whatever you want apart from the face!’” His sister also had concerns about the potential safety risks of the procedures: “I remember that when I had my eyes tattooed, she came running to my house, crying, asking me why I did such a thing, that it was dangerous, that I could have lost my sight.” Despite their worries, his family have now come round to accept his choices: "Even if we sometimes end up having differences in our personal tastes, they will always be there for me.”

Water this cold would be unbearable for you. Vents on the floor of the trench emit highly acidic fluids. The fluids are rich in minerals and help sustain life in the area.
Hot water coming from the vents can reach 842’ F. The water doesn’t boil because of the very high pressure. The hot acidic fluids and cold water create a near toxic environment, but they also allow some new forms to thrive. It has deep-sea volcanoes seen nowhere else on Earth. These mud volcanoes could be the same as those where life on Earth first developed. These harsh conditions have surprisingly diverse life. Xenophyophores, amphipods and small sea cucumbers can all be found there.
