The disability access laws have been around since the mid-90's with a number of revisions in the intervening years, to include access to buildings and services and to also include other disability related facilities not just getting into a building.

For the most part, Bath is a typical place, very historical with lots of steps. It appears some shops are apathetic towards simple changes, these changes their neighbours have undergone.

This is a very brief look at some of the issues facing disabled shoppers especially on a busy saturday with loads of customers not looking where they are going. Scooter users are usually not seen by pedestrians until they are accidentally run into.

Why oh Why do planners/builders think that cobble like paving is the thing to do? With the latest upgrades in the centre, it's sad to see these types of building materials are the norm.
