On the East/South East side of Shibuya there has been a lot of new construction The glorified stormwater drain that is the Shibuya river has become a water-feature and the dodgy establishments that used to be near it have been replaced by gleaming skyscrapers housing techno corporations like the owners of this video platform. Basically corporate gentrification at its finest. This is footage of the pretty side of the new construction. They have managed to hide the other-side of shibuya quite well, but it's there at street level. When all the construction is done I'll make apoint of shooting the oh-so-cyberpunk juxtaposition of the shiny new corporate playground they've built on top of the leftovers of scummy underbelly that is the old Shibuya I used to love.
