This programme about the Men Going Their Own Way (MGTOW) phenomenon is worth listening to despite the sneering presenter, Jolyon Jenkins. You'll soon forget his 'contriibutions'. He turned up unannounced during an anti-MGM protest in Parliament Square on the last International Men's Day - link to the video (6:30) below - and proceeded to interview a number of protesters including myself about MGTOW.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxR_u...
It was perfectly clear even before Jenkins started recording, that he was intent on producing an anti-MGTOW piece - but what else would we expect from the BBC? It's my view - not shared by all MGTOWs - that we should engage with the mainstream media even when we know their negative intentions, because that way more people learn of our existence. When they check us out, they realise that the BBC (and other media outlets) are lying about MRAs, MGTOWs etc.
I'm proud of the contributions all my fellow protesters made to this programme, and towards the end of the programme there's a very interesting contribution from Clive.

This must surely rank as the most idiotic maiden speech ever given by an MP in the House of Commons, please email us if you know of one that is even more idiotic [As at 12.9.20, nobody had yet emailed us in response to this request.]. Ms Phillips chose that most ludicrous of feminist narratives, about the gender pay gap, as the core of her speech. As we'd expect from a gobby narcissist feminist, the speech was mainly about herself, and she even found time to mock her husband over his lack of qualifications, whilst bragging about her own two 'degrees' (one is a postgraduate diploma, as we can see from her entry on Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jess_Phillips_(politician).
She spoke of the 'misfortune' of having two children, 'Both of whom are sons, incidentally!' They must be so proud of her.
We presented Ms Phillips with our 'Toxic Feminist of the Month' award - here https://j4mb.files.wordpress.com/2015/10/151031-v2-jess-phillips-mp-toxic-feminist-of-the-month.pdf - in recognition of her maiden speech and her mocking of Philip Davies MP over his application to have a discussion on men's issues in the House of Commons chamber during International Men's Day, 19 November 2015. That day we'll be supporting Men Do Complain http://mendocomplain.com in protesting against MGM in Parliament Square, London. We invite you to join us.

This video is one of 120 videos published for the sixth International Conference on Men's Issues (2020) http://icmi2020.icmi.info, a conference originally planned for Sydney, Australia, but later turned into a virtual conference due to Covid-19.
From #metoo to the American Psychological Association’s guidelines pathologizing “masculinity” as harmful, to Gillette’s razor adverts blaming all men for the actions of a damaged few, ideologically motivated groups have used unchallenged narratives of female victimhood to promote damaging stereotypes about men and boys, masculinity and men’s relationships to each other.
More than ever before, recognition of men’s issues is needed. Men and boys deserve compassion, they deserve consideration for their unique needs, and they deserve our support.
Men and boys also deserve respect for their unique contributions to society and an end to the promotion of unkind stereotyping of being harmful, abusive, toxic, selfish and hateful. We would not tolerate this stereotyping directed towards any other group.
We are in an era of unprecedented ideological conflict. By reducing men’s ability to take a positive identity from their masculinity we are encouraging young men to pursue ever more radical ideologies to find a place to belong. In turn we are also encouraging young women to embrace an identity as society’s victims rather than its equal co-creators.
The inaugural conference was held in 2014, and since 2016 the conference has been held annually:
- Detroit (2014)
- London (2016)
- Gold Coast, Australia (2017)
- London (2018)
- Chicago (2019)
Playlists of all 100+ presentations at the conferences (as well as the 120 at this one) are here, along with playlists of the presentations at the Messages 4 Men conferences in London (2017-19) and the (UK) National Conference on Men's Issues, “Domestic Abuse is a Men’s Issue, Too” (2020):
