http://MyMustangRestoration.com - Now we have the outer wheelhouse welded on, now we can prime the bare metal. After scuffing everything, we used self etch primer to provide adhesion and provide corrosion protection. After allowing to flash, we sprayed the areas with high build primer.
Once the metal, welds locations and seams were primed, we applied seam sealer over all welds and seams to seal out moisture. This will prevent rust from creeping in later.
Once we had everything sealed up, we used bed liner coating to undercoat the inner parts that will be covered when the quarter panel installed.
Next, we'll finally install the quarter panel....it's been a long time coming!

http://CollisionBlast.com/ - - Another important step in auto painting is to properly cleaning and maintain your tools and equipment. This article is going to emphasize properly cleaning your spray gun.
You Made It This Far
One of the common problems that I have seen as an instructor is students trying to paint with pattern problems. An improperly cleaned paint gun can cause a number of problems, which could have been prevented if the spray gun would have been properly cleaned the prior use. You spent hours repairing and prepping this car, don't let a dirty spray gun ruin it for you.
Prevention
It is really simple to prevent many of the spraying problems by proper cleaning. The key is to clean it each time that you use the spray gun. There are different cleaning systems, but they are all designed to remove all coatings from inside and outside of the gun. Once the gun is clean you can wipe it dry and store it for the next use.

The question: Do they sell epoxy primer in spray cans? In the video, I state that I am not aware of a 2k epoxy product. However, thankful to our YouTube friends, they mentioned a line of paint that does have 2k products in spray cans. If I understand it correctly, you must use all of the primer within a certain amount of time or it will harden. Don't know much about this line of products, but I did a little research and found a resource for it. You can learn more at http://CollisionBlast.com/SprayCanEpoxy
